1 Final Release is NOT BB5
2 Manually enable newely build Facilitiies
3 No unlearn!!!
4 Once you go mutated, you never go back
5 Alive Pandorans are useless
6 Mutagen Labs not great
7 Recruit teleport
8 Don't defend winning Havens
9 Ship speed does not update in manufacture screen
10 Mutated head changes their voice
11 Unopened boxes will not give you items
12 Willpower can be 0 if not suffering
13 Take a look at Pandorans body movements, shoot when animations is over
14 Some Pandorans resct to damage recieving - be aware of that
15 Mouse knows Spawnery location
16 Raven shreds Pandoran base columns, Piranha not
17 Vanish is IMBA, nothing beats stealth

I struggle in Geoscape Strategys! My threat lvl is near 30%, Jericho is destroying all the Synedrion Bases they can reach(12 left). The Pandoras Attack Bases on other side of the Planet, I cant reach. My best Diplomancy is on Anu 52%, the others 38%. So and on the Top, after i see some of your Guides, I know my Troops are waste. So i´ll restart the Campaign, but I have no ideas for Geoscape Strategies. Hoping on in deep Strategy from you. Thank You for the Work you spend.

Question about 11: if you open the box but don't take the items, you still get at the end of the mission? (A never opened them and thought I was still getting the stuff 🤦)

You most likely got the stuff from some corpses - sometimes when they die they drop a loot, that is all given to you ;)

Warning: "vanish" is vulnerable to mist, if your fighter gets into it, then the mode is turned off, if mist is thrown at you on the move of the enemy, then you are visible and they will start shooting.

Absolutely crucial information!! :O I just had fight yesterday with nasty Scylla that poops itself every time receiving damage and I didn't had Heavy in that team..oh boy that was nasty fight!

Great tips, also happy to see the math for upgrading soliders. I've got 2 things to mention 1 - heavy/sniper can be used if none of your heavy dudes have sniperist perk for the paralize dart sniper rifle (athena or something). Rage burst can take lobster in one turn if you want it captured. Maybe for accuracy reasons, but i like your heavy/infiltrator more for the damage 2 - it is possible to achive 100% stealth if infiltrator has thief perk and wears styx armour. You don't even need to use vanish anymore - enemy can't see them even in point blank range after a shot. Chirons and worms still manage to somewhat spot him, but still not break consealment

Absolutely - at least one Heavy with paralyzing sniper rifle (no mater if it comes from Sniper muti-class or Sniperist unique ability) is a must have for live Pandoran capturing team! For Scylla, Chiron they do wonders :) And 100% stealth approach is also reported to sometimes still be revealed..glitch or something, but yes - very good point - thank you for that!

Ad #16 - not only Raven SR can destroy lair structures. Pythagoras works for me as well. Maybe other sniper rifles as well, but I have to check.

Of course - there are other weapons as well! 1 particular sniper rifle I need to mention - the paralyzing Athena NS-2 didn't destroy even the simplest obstacles (not on Pandoran base). Heavy weapons, explosives - they all work well, just more extensive testing is required for this topic. I'm mentioning Raven as one of the guns you don't need to carry extra with you ;) And thank you for the comment and mentioning this!

Of course there are more weapons that allow you to cut through a lair, Mariss. Just wanted to point out, that there are more sniper rifles that can do the trick.

Useful tip Now im gonna build infiltrator engineer 100% damage on turrets Aslo im thinking of infiltrator heavy 100% empty the clip And here is a tip for you Infiltrator sniper with raven Can 1 hit kill crab men and tentacle men

Thank you ;) For the Engineer + Infiltrator combo: the +100% damage will not be applied to turrets, but instead that engineer can do some damage with PDW or any other weapon you equip ;) Heavy Infiltrators are very nice choice!

#40 I think in some mission with objectives it might be possible to end a mission with a paralysed mindfragger attached to a host as in a pandorian lair I was able to paralyze a mindfragger attached to my berserker/heavy and end the mission in the same turn after killing the spawnery. I was able to cheese the lair as well as some of my assault guys had restored movement points after each save and reload. Will have to see if it's repeatable in another lair when I do it tomorrow or if it was just bugged in my favour. Also unrelated I have 9 bases as I'd found all 8 before completing one of the early missions that gives a base.

Very nice! And you are right - in Lair mission - there is just one goal to win and get out - kill the Spawnery. It's the Haven defense missions when there are people present - there one of goals is to clear the area meaning - not a single enemy can be left standing ;)

I would love some guides about: 1. How to paralyze/ capture aliens. Tricks and tips. 2. How to deal with the red myst and colony, start and later in game. I dont understand how you have only 7% in that point of the game. 3. Resources tactics. How to get more from all needed resources

Hmm..interesting topics here, not sure I will be able to play Phoenix Point at the moment, but let me see if I can give you some hints! :) 1. Utilize Heavy&Sniper build to unload Rage Burst with paralyzing guns ;) Otherwise, if just using regular snipers - for small aliens, it's easy just shoot them down, Scylla must be kited, rooted, distracted or any other way kept busy ;) 2. Always try to reveal and be able to fly to the mist reached areas - to avoid it's spread and assist on Haven attacks. Otherwise only thing against them is that repellent facility (sometimes faction Havens build them too), but there is no clear path in research that indicates how to get them the fastest.. ;) 3. I believe at the time of recording game was not so much..'screwed' and it was possible to fight effectively against that 'doomsday clock' :) Now with latest releases game pushes it and keeps player trapped in the time, so don't feel bad for not having low % - it's the game, not your fault ;)

About the acid gun: The game already tells you that acid does 10 damage to ARMOR per turn. So it is normal that even if you do 550 total damage, the armor only decreases by 10, because that is how much damage acid does to armor per turn. But what happens when there is no more armor, or if you shoot from the start the 550 damage to an unarmored body part or an already fully shredded of armor body part? Does the acid still do 10 damage to the now unarmored body part/total health, or is all the damage applied at once? I think you might have overlooked this possibility.

Currently the whole Acid mechanics is reworked! So even before that - yes, Acid keeps 'eating' though everything, first the armor, then the flesh! So the application is great but takes time to 'eat though'. Now the mechanics is updated and eats even more than just 10 per turn I believe..you have to try it out to see if it fits your play style, for me it was still a no go as I like my aliens dead right away, not waiting many turns to kill them.

Some obstacles have, I don’t know how to express this, health, armor and in order to destroy them to shoot at vulnerability. You can launch a rocket, a grenade, shoot from a sniper, a machine gun and destroy NOTHING, but you can call the sight a little higher to demolish everything and even that beyond the obstacles, honestly the system of destructibility is buggy.

Oh yes! I had this bug myself! Loaded full Deceptor Rage Bust out to expect some cleared area..and instead ALL the bullets landed in one little box corner in front of soldier and did 0 damage, of course box also was not destroyed! I want to build my armor from that box material.. :D

In the skill description for Vanish it says you can still be spotted, are you sure they cannot see you if you have low stealth number? maybe Tritons with double perception?

Nope - while you are in Vanish (exactly the same turn) then you are invisible UNLESS(!) you are caught in their mist! It is just reported that once soldier gets in the mist(that fog some Pandorans spray around them), then soldier becomes visible even when Vanished! Double Perception Tritons will spot you next turn after Vanish when your soldier is just in stealth - then you will not be able to do much - move/shoot without revealing itself.

The cursor does not show the enemy only structures as a spawner, the dash shows.

What do you mean..? Even without dash..if the same tactic is used where Pandoran when with Pain Chameleon (invisible) and you see clearly open tile where you cannot run to - that's where the hidden enemy is. Or what am I missing here? :)

Hah, it's not easy every time - that's for sure :D But I'm not letting those lizards to slip away :D I like how game marks the location with the red indicator if you make a guess with shooting and hit the target! ;)

Embark just one 100% stealth infiltrator on an synedrion carrier (especially assault trained with dash, an iconoclast and eventually a paralyzer). It is enough and easy to destroy lairs and easy to evade ambushes. Also an 100% inf. priest is good for mass destruction. Equip him with an iconoclast even if it isn't proficient - hi will hardly miss from short distances. I saw in your video an potentially 100% inf. snipper with sniper armor, and also the last priest has native stealth but equipped with mask which reduces the stealth. Why? Any way... I perceive these 100% inf. as bug in this game or at least as an exploit door - although they are vulnerable to chirons and worms (if they are priest or there is a priest nearby screams does not affect them and with certain addon, invulnerable to mist). Anyway, with an 100% assault inf. you can get near spawnery and kill it with iconoclast in 2-3 turns. Lets mention the ultimate ninja (ninja presumes fastness): assault infiltrator (dash, '+100% damage while hidden' perk) with iconoclast and the native reckless: (400 + 400/3) * 2 * 2 - (dmg + reckless) * undetected * two shoots ~ 2132 OR 1600 + 1600/3 OR I don't know how this is calculated but is a big dmg. How to get to at least one 100% infiltrator (even when the game gives you no native inf. within the first 15-20 recruits) in iron mode (no reload) is another story. For start watch again Mariss video - the tip is and isn't there.

This comment absolutely lays out path from beginning to the victory! And as you can notice..almost every viable (read - super-over-powered) build comes with Infiltrator combo.. :) I'll just add calculations for build you mention: Base damage 400 + Infiltrator bonus 400 + Reckless bonus 400*0.3=120 will be 920 damage per shot x2 we got 1840, which is enough to bring down almost anything :D Thank you for the comment, tactics, combos and all the info for everyone! ;)

What’s your thoughts on them doing a Pathologic 2 system with settings? Like toggle which enemies spawn and which don’t (basically allowing you to set which enemies are OP or able to nerf them as you want with sliders) That would probably allow the Devs to focus on smaller aspects of the game and allowing players to modify their enemies by armor, stats, health, attacks and damage, as well as what weapons do what

Haven't had a chance to explore it - got a quite big backlog of games that now being updated require attention and basically whole new playthtough with each of them :D I'm curious about the slider and toggle option..that sounds a bit like cheating.. :D

@@MLMariss the idea I have is a list of all types of enemies and you can check them off as spawn or not. If not you can also edit their movement, speed, will and so on. This applies to weapons and trades as well as optional. Can edit weapon damage, ammo, cost there of and so on. Applying this to humans you can edit individual humans to OP degrees. Maybe allow how much rep is lost and gained as well? This would allow the team to Kinda lean off of having to balance things and working on more things for (us) to balance? I feel like this would be a better balancing system as it’s 100% in the players options, and maybe allow popular settings be made into options in game.

Truth to be told - I was on another run (latest version) and there were a few things changed/updated so the tips must be approached with caution..I still have to come back and redo all the work for the latest updates 😅 and by just thinking of the amount of work that will require my head starts to get dizzy :D

So the teams are basically as many as many aircrafts you have - either to build , steal or purchase one and once it's filled with soldiers you have another team!

Hard to comment from my side for 2 reasons: 1) when game was launched legendary difficulty was ridiculously punishing (didn't play) 2) nowadays the game has been overhauled/changed/updated that almost nothing from the past holds true.. :\ My 2 approaches where Food farming (only resource you can actually 'create') and all/any missions that pop up. I know other players gained resources from raiding factions, but I dislike that approach because of reputation hit.

In Phoenix Point? No, there is no impact on running distance from this talent - only reduction of all other abilities to only 1 Action Point ;) It is a great combo if you combine with Assault ability Rapid Clearance, that gives back 2 Action Points for every kill..so you see how we can combine them and make ultimate killing machine :D

Priest? Frenzy? I don't recall them having such ability :D But if you are looking for additional movement then Assault combo is your guy with Dash - Move to a target position within half of the normal movement range (requires 4 Willpower per use), so this is like using 1 AP to run half of the total distance and can be used twice per turn. Drains Willpower quite fast if used every turn though :D

@Mariss: I just found out you can rally the troops as many times as you have soldiers. It says you can only use it once, but it's once per character. So our old super-soldier map clear stuff we were talking about is mega easy even with just normal unboosted iconoclast berserker-assault, just by rolling with any 4-5 support characters with rally the troops (All my starting snipers go assault and pick it up eventually). If you end up short on turns just rally a few times and keep going. It's bonkers. I just did my whole base defense with one. For really tough bosses you can apparently use the berserker's armor shred ability with a grenade and clear 50 armor off their entire body, which is also pretty broken since unboosted iconoclast can kill scylla in 4 shots if there's no armor. I'm still working on getting stuff to try out your vanish idea, can't get any armor due to all the synedrion bases being on the opposite side of the planet.

Can i spam the pandoran lair with spider drones without being spotted by chirons?

No, you cannot for sure! Spider Drones will make Pandorans Alerted which will make Chirons shoot at your alleged locations (which is pretty precise actually). And another point - Pandoran base missions will have infinite enemy spawn until you reach the goal or lose, so it is not in your interests to delay/play long game there ;)

@@MLMariss And it is running at 1080p (hence your monitors) with ultra settings? Have you also run XCom 2 on this? is it similar frame rate or is it worse? there were many performance issues, I know ;-) I was thinking of the Razer Tomahawk, coming out later this year. Do you think it will have similar performance to a full tower? What's your take?

I played it back around 1.0 for a bit. I haven't touched it since as I've been waiting for it to be 'done'. How did your playthrough not go well?

Mostly because I did not play a bit at 1.0, but a LOT :D I mean I left the game at some kind of 90% of being finished..now playing again - there are improvements for sure, but in general the whole game consists if battles. A lot of them and just going again through them is not exciting any more, the spark is gone :/ And I like the game, it is improved and all but you know..when spark is gone it's not that anymore. You will have fun and if your spark for the game is still there - you will have a great time ;)

Makes sense. Too much of the same thing can lead to burnout quite quickly. It either needs to be mixed up with other things like the geoscape or needs more interesting R&D/combat if it is to keep fresh.
