Another short one today, reflecting about 2.5 hours of work done on Phoenix. I got up a little late today, and also checked all the waves out with the kids and their mate Andrew, and then bought a bunch of things in town, including more laminating epoxy and micro-balloons so I have the right materials to do faring and filling where needed. I started after 2pm and went through 3 x 60 grit sand paper discs while sanding the starboard quarter hull section. I pretty much worked non stop up to 5pm. I must say it is physically very demanding to do sanding like this. There were a few surprises under seemingly good looking paint. I need to strip all the paint to really make sure the hull is good everywhere, and so I can can repair problem areas if I see anything.
