He didn't have electromag shot, so probably not too great for the marksman guy.

@@ainumahtar well, i went and tried it myself. Did 3 FFA Matches yesterday (my first ever), going mass Marksmen. In the second and third match i went up against Mass Phoenix guys. Won one, the other one i had a sizeable lead until the Final Round, when they all ganged up on me, and Phoenix Guy had enough left at the end to just steal my win. My Marksman Loadout was Range, Elite Marksman, Electromag and Fire Team.

@@dyamonde9555 Cool, I might try it myself as well, an army of snipers sounds like fun, and indeed, I do think electromag shot is pretty cruccial, also against heavily upgraded melting points, I imagine.

@@ainumahtar My strat was pretty basic. i put 4 packs of Fangs front and then just bought Marksmen for the rest of the Game. The Fangs were running range, firepower, ignite and shield. No Mech-Rage, so they'd stay with the Marksmen. Since all the Marksmen were spawning Fangs as well i got a good blob of them together. When they were offered i went for Vulcans as reinforcements, with the "spawn Marksman" tech on them as well. Chances are you'll lose the first few rounds pretty hard, but once you get a critical mass of Marksmen with some upgrades the tables turn your way.

I’ve had probably 10 situations where I’m in the lead until round 10. It feels like FFA is just lurk in the back until the last 4 rounds and make your move

Not responding to an opponent's obvious strategy isn't something you can blame on the developer. On the other hand, if it is a repeatable, unbeatable strategy and the community can't figure out a way to bust it then the game should be tweaked. A couple of cheeky sentry missles against some of the higher level phoenixes would have slowed them down so the mustangs could mulch them. It's easy to become target fixated in a game and to ignore what your opponent is doing.

@@MiguelStinson88 Yeah I came to this game from IndridCasts who normally does W40k Dawn of War Elite mod 3v3s. He just enjoys the variety and playing in a way that reacts and anticipates his opponent rather than just say I'm going to do this one thing. I haven't played much but I do like the themes you can build. Like Fangs and Marksmen into Vulcan with the mods where marksmen summon 5 fangs of the same level, and vulcan's summon marksmen of the same level. So it's just kind of cheeky to spawn a Vulcan, a Marksmen, and 5 Fangs for the purchase of one Vulcan. Kind of worth spending the extra 200 plus the unlock for a lvl 2 Vulcan. Works better with Elite commander but it's still not great against certain things like explosive mustangs.

I’ve had plenty of games with Phoenix’s, mustangs, or anything that I lost late game cause my FFA opponents decided to respond. It’s super frustrating

I think Phoenixes are fine. They perform about as well as mass marksmen in most respects, but whete marksmen rely on having stuff in fron of them and enough sttack speed to chomp away the enemy before contact is made, Phoenixes rely Quantum reassembly giving them a second chance. Now, they might have been problematic before, the map is so big that keping some safe for long enough is very easy (even in this game with a lot of anti air stangs and boss units), but when theres only 1 revive instead of 3, it can definitely be dealt with using fortress missiles, shielded fangs, and/or anti air mustangs/typhoons. Just need people to notice the strat and have a counter button of 2 ready if it starts being the problem, even jf FFA is a lot more about picking a build a sticking to it than just countering opponent's builds
