How are you feeling Suns Nation? For a team that broke records in a season full of optimism about a potential NBA Championship, Phoenix’s 123-90 loss to the Dallas Mavericks was heartbreaking, to say the least.
Kinda feel bad for those nice Suns fans. It always sucks when your team loses. It sucks more when it’s in your home floor and it sucks the most when you get blown out as the Number 1 seed.
I've been a Suns/Cardinals fan for decades. Suns especially. All I can say is after decades of being a hard core fan for both , I'm officially done. Got many things I need to accomplish rather than sitting on the couch and watching ballgames. It's a complete waste of time to be a Phoenix fan. Anyone wants to debate me on this,?// I have no words for the debacle I witnessed today with the Suns. Embarrassing.
How about the okc thunder in the 2019-20 season? What about the 2017-18 rockets when he was not injured? What about last year when he led the suns to the finals?
The Suns were not beaten they were destroyed and humiliated in front of the whole basketball world. Luka had the same amount of points in the first half as the whole Sun team. Who cares about the regular season, it is the playoffs that count in North American sports.
I was driving Uber tonight after the game. A lotta quiet rides back. People flew in from outta town to watch this game and they were NOT HAPPY. I wasn't getting tips like usual. That shows how pissed they were. And I drive REALLY nice vehicles for rideshare - but nope...wasn't even feeling the rides. I did a few and just decided to do airport rides after that. The mood was too depressing to pick up fans. Sad, I know. But when you have COUPLES in your vehicle literally upset at each other, you can feel the tension. I wasn't ready for this night. I was hoping it was gonna be a great money-night with excited fans happy to go to the next round. Decided the airport was a better vibe. Better luck next year. Hope everyone made it home safely.
I have relatives in Phoenix and I still haven’t had the nerve to text them and ask how their all feeling. They were on suicide watch for weeks after they lost the Finals to the Bucks.
I truly feel bad for the Sun's fans and especially the Season ticket holder at the end, he was absolutely correct about the mental toughness and that is exactly what they lacked tonight
Is what's silly is buying a ticket with a credit card that can't be paid for months. Why would anyone feel sorry for someone in that situation? They made a choice. I don't know what is stupider your comment or the hypothetical situation you thought up.
@luis garcia Your stupid comment was deleted by RU-vid because it was sexist. It is nice to know that you hate women. Also, if it took months to pay off, what would be the upside of them winning if buying a ticket that would take months to pay off? Sounds like you bought a ticket you couldn't afford. Not all season ticket holders get their tickets for free due to corporations. There are season ticket holders that actually pay for their tickets. Your comments are strife with ignorance. You truly show your silliness every time you comment... that and that you are very emotional. You emotional, little man.
- I am still shocked. Losing is one thing BUT getting creamed as the #1 seed w/ Booker as 4th in MVP booking, Mikal bridges as a DPOY candidate, Coach of the Year Monty, DA wanting a big contract, and 1st ballot HOF CP3 being 37? I still can't believe it.
As a Sixers fan who also went from Finals dreams to seeing team go out whimpering at home, I can relate. Sucks because I wanted a Sixers Suns finals to also see who Barkley would favor in the end 😆
@Musical Box I mean, even if we continue to choke every year in the 2nd round... wouldn't make me switch teams since I was a Sixers fan since, well, we gave y'all Barkley lol.
@Musical Box We're NEVER going? lol sounds definitive but yeah I get it as all 26 teams not playing got things to figure out, Philly especially. Oh well
I didn't see one happy resident as I drove through AZ this morning! Couldn't even get the lady behind the register at the Pilot truck stop in Tolleson to smile let alone greet me when I said, "How about them Mav's!" 🤣🤣🤣
Well all I can say is that I have been a Phoenix Suns fan since the mid 1970s when John McCloud was our coach and I don't think we ever suffered this bad of a loss ever in the playoffs that I can remember
Sane here, since the 70s. My mom worked for the Phoenix Suns organization, and stopped off at payroll office off of 7st between Osborn & Thomas. I saw Alvan Adams in flip flops picking up his paycheck one day. I could inly stare in awe. Honestly after Tim Donahey robbing the Suns in 2007 i really never watch the NBA. I think its all fixed with hundreds of millions of dollars driving the corruption.
I love how us Americans can love a team as a fan and still love the fans of the other team we know its just a sport. In England the police are keeping people apart and the fans are making death threats to the players lmao
That's because teams are franchises that belongs to owners, in my country that's not the americanized england teams belong to the club fans investors so it is a surviving matter when you lose badly and underperform, and i like it that way since there are no drafts and you can't see team embarrassing their fans just tanking decades just to no go to any point
I wasn't. The last two games showed the Suns looking weaker and weaker. Mavs clearly figured the Suns out and they couldn't adjust. Also Luka was bound to have a crazy game like this as well.
I was actually one of those people that believed the mavs will win against the suns in 6 games. Although the number of games wasn’t right, I just knew the matchup was in the mavs favor.
@@danlmarlow5446 u guys beat the best team record wise in the suns, I give them that. But to now ask them to beat the warriors is a big ask. Talent wise, I see them having no chance against the warriors.
@@Cavaliers71 … Same logic that got Sam Bowie drafted over Michael Jordan. They already had Clyde Drexler and needed a center. Ask Portland if they would have liked a redo.
I believe the Mavericks of tonight are the Mavericks going forward... they just learned how to incorporate Doncic with the power duo of Dinwiddie and Brunson. The coaching staff has a great feel for defensive matchups... and these players are all out to prove something... Brunson on the cusp of a big contract... Dinnwiddie felt betrayed by Washington... and the youth of Doncic and his hunger... I think tonight was a taste of whats to come.
Not surprised at all phoenix went out like that constantly dropping 2-0 leads but all seriousness congrats to both teams making it this far. I am a nuggets fan.
27 points in the first half?!!! WTF? Kobe was able to single handedly score that many points in a single quarter. Booker ain't no Kobe! That's for sure.
Luka got 28 in a quarter this season and scored 27 by half time this game on his own, literally scored as many points as the entire suns team that half.
Booger is way more consistent than Kobe in the disappearance department. He disappears every year around this time of year. Like you said, Kobe did it once in a blue moon. Booger does it every year. Hence, zero championships!! 😆 🤣 😂 At least Kobe had already won 3 championships by age 23. Booger is 25 and still at zero.
As a mavs fan for more than 40 years, this is a top 5 game in franchise history. 2006 western conference semis game 7 vs San Antonio (Dirk insane and 1 to force overtime) 2011 western conference semis game 4 vs Lakers (mother’s day massacre to eliminate 2 time defending champs) 2011 nba finals game 2 vs Miami (huge 15 point 4th quarter comeback to even the series) 2011 nba finals game 6 vs Miami (title clinching game) 2022 western conference semis game 7 vs Phoenix (last night’s beat down)
CP3 still doesn’t understand this is his karma from all the cheap swipe up fouls he has accumulated thru the years, the more he did that, the further he will from getting a ring, good riddance.
This is worse than when the Mavs had the best record and lost in the first round. Since then we won a title and then embarrassed the Suns. I'm completely over it.
No stop it. I’m not a Suns fan (thank god), but a 1st seed losing to an 8th seed in the first round will always be bad. Especially considering that out of all the years of the NBA, it only happened 4 times.
Not to mention that Warriors was 42-40 and the Mavs had 67 wins and lost in 6 games, didn’t even get to see a game 7 💀. This Suns L was bad, but not as bad as that disappointment 😂
So the 54 year drought continues. Every year they collapse and can't win the big game. To lose by 33 points on your home court is just sick. I have a hunch there will be major changes in the front office starting with the coaches. Nobody wants to buy those expensive tickets to see their team keep losing all the time when it counts.
FACTS! They did not prep the team for this. Coaching. Admin staff. Somebody dropped a major ball with regards to being the #1 team and then getting blown out at home, game 7. There's just no spirit there. None. You don't get dog-walked in game 7 at home like this. Unreal. They had no game plan, at all. Defense wasn't there. Offense wasn't there. Coaching wasn't there. Complete meltdown of a system, in real time.
@@emmajean7217 The thing is, while on one hand I m agreeing with you, yes, they didnt play like they should a game 7 at home, and that could be seen as almost disrespectful to the fans, bad games still happen, and at the end of the day, they re just humans like us. Now, my comment was about the hypocrisy from some fans in the video, who gladly throw themselves in the mix, taking partial credit for Athletes success, and straight up ditching when they have a bad game. That s, to me, the equivalent of a guy asking you to let him cheat on a test, and then bragging about how smart they are if they get an A, but bashing you for being stupid if he gets an F. Either you support a team all the time, either you dont. I m not a big fan of the suns, but I like the players, I like the game, and when I was watching the game, I was feeling bad, but not because I wasnt getting a spectacular show, but because I cant imagine how awful the players living it must have felt. Idk if you see what I mean but yeah, that s it.
Those suns fans Deserved it. Suns fans went psycho during previous year playoffs, beating up rival fans for no reason such as clippers and nuggets. If you don't remember then watch it on youtube
The 2011 mavs were a special team that beat OkC with Durant, harden and Westbrook, stopped LA Lakers 3 peat and beat The “big 3” Bron, wade and bosh. This team feels similar and I have them winning back golden state warriors but I think Boston is a great team as well. I hope Dallas beats Boston in the finals.
@@jamesrod4180 Yeah no kidding!!!!! But I do remember Eric "sleepy" Floyd had 29 points in a qtr in a playoff game for the Warriors in I wanna say maybe 1977 or 78? Against the lakers
Years ago I heard fools saying Chris Paul was way better than Isiah Thomas was as a point guard. LOL 😂. Thomas put college, international and NBA teams on his back to win NCAA, gold medal and NBA titles.
@@amjan the difference between Isiah's career and Paul's career was Isiah could make the bigger stars look inferior while Paul could not. We saw Isiah for years make Bird, MJ, Magic, Dominique and Ewing look like the 2nd best players on the court while Paul could never match LeBron, Durant, Dirk, Giannis, or AD in the biggest moments.
From here you noticed most of the Suns fans are just bangwagon...booing your team when they in the critical time that needed the support most!?yeah, you hell of a fans!
What’s even worse is as bad of a beat down as that was, the Warriors are now doing the same thing to the Mavs…just imagine how much worse it would be against the Suns!!!
I'm a warriors fan but this makes me mad seeing fans say that the suns didn't try. They are NBA players and the worst player on that team would beat you 21-0 with his off hand
As great as he is, and at his age everything should not have be hinging on Cp's performance and availability. It's been proven he can only carry team so far and for so long. Booker needs to step-up, he's the face of that team and take that over. Ayton also needs to step-up, as a big man he has to set the tone physically. They're great team but need tougher image
Luka was already so driven because Phoenix passed on drafting him, and then the Booker comments....sent that Euro over the edge lol. I bet Phoenix regrets that! I feel bad for that black dude interviewed. You can tell that dudes an OG Suns fan... 24 year season ticket holder!! poor guy. If my Cubs had lost that game 7 to Cleveland Id have jumped off a building probably.
Don’t put my suns with the bucks, we have no excuse to go out and give that performance, the bucks played extremely hard and that was without their legit 2nd star…
