Phomemo Printer Unboxing and Tutorial 

The life span of the print is the first thing I thought of because it is thermal paper. I know from past experience with thermal printed receipts etc that it is not permanent. That is the thing that would keep me from purchasing one of these. Thank you.

Yes, I have receipts that years later are GONE. Nothing there.

Did it come with any of the clear sticker paper? Do u have to use any specific markers?

What brand of markers did you used ?

This printer paper reminds me of receipt paper of credit card receipts that fade over time. I don't like that at all.

While this one is intriguing and I've watched many videos, the longevity is indeed a turnoff. I ended up getting myself the Brother VC-500W printer which I would describe as a hybrid between this and one of the mini photo printers where it uses the zink paper of the mini printer in cartridges. There are different sizes so you can print narrow or wide etc. So, far I like it.

Hi! I would like to ask if there is any fading now in your print outs on this video?

They have papers that last 20 years. I love the semi-transparent for photos and adhering to glass. I got the Phomemo MO2s which prints in 300DPI

Hi, if you colour over the paper, would it not last longer? As in the colour that you used?

I would not buy it because of the print not lasting.

printer is great, software is impossible and I can't find help for it. frustrated!!

I wonder if you could coat the image with varnish so it will last for a long time. There is the possibility varnish may blur the image. I just got one of these as a gift. I may try that myself.

I confess i am not that much into archival mode as i noticed that my first hobo from 2017 which has fountain pen writing is fading. I love the process of creating and enjoying mu supplies. Its a great product but i will stick to printing on normal copy paper😂

Hi, I have one of these, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to reload the paper into the printer. I can't figure out how to open it to replace the paper! If there is someone that knows how to do this please help me out! Thanks!

That’s super annoying that the images would only last 2 years… that’s pointless because I work hard on scrapbooking for the purpose of preserving memories indefinitely. Is there any sort of medium that could be used to seal the printed images… something that would protect the photo and not cause further damage or yellowing over time? Initially i was thinking mod podge… is that a bad idea? Thanks so much to anyone who can help!!

6:20 - Every tutorial skips right over the most key step... how to connect it. It shows up in the Bluetooth on my Android phone but not on an iPhone or iPad. 🤷‍♂️ Same thing with another tutorial, they go right into the app, don't show it being connected.

Thanks for a great video! Sometimes when i print out a label horizontal, the printer prints to much blank paper. Do you what the problem might be?

I knew when people started sharing these on YT etc that the images wouldn’t last as it’s a thermal printer. It’s like a thermal printed receipt 🧾 - it doesn’t have a long shelf life. I like the concept of the phomemo being the black and white with all the fun paper options. But I haven’t figured out how I’d use it since it won’t last that long I wouldn’t want it in any of my journals or planners. This video was good though. Covered all the aspects and easy to follow. Lighting was a little dark making it a little harder to see some of the details of the prints. But it was helpful. Thanks

What makes you think that the ink from the markers will last more than 5-10 years?

I was thinking applying a cover of gel medium over the photo, hoping it will prevent the black ink disappearing. I just got mine and can’t wait to play with it. Thanks for doing this helpful video, Skylar.
