I love revisiting nebulae and galaxies year on year, but there is a very special feeling that comes with imaging a once in a lifetime object!
'The Green Comet' has not been visible from Earth for 50,000 years (at this point in time humans were only starting to use tools). It won't be back for another 50,000 years and some scientists are saying it may never return to the inner solar system.

I was so disappointed when I couldn't see the comet naked eye!

Really nice image! I completely agree, the ASIAir is amazing. I've used NINA and it's fantastic, but I love ASIAir's interface. When I started doing astrophotography (inspired by your content as well), I went for all ASI gear. Filter wheel, camera, autofocuser, Air. When you have all the components working in the software it all goes so seamlessly.

Very nice portable rig! I also love my ASIAIR. It saves my many headaches and makes my nights very productive. A must!

You picked a beauty of a target for your first imaging session with the mini and 2600MC Pro. I have the ASIAIR Pro and 2600MC Pro. Incredible set up. The ASIAIR makes everything from focusing, to polar alignment to imaging to guiding to meridian flips a breeze. Enjoy your new rig! Dr B from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦

I am one of those spoiled people who remembers comets Hyakutake and Hale Bopp which came pretty close together in the 1990's. They were amazing! I remember Hyakutake's tale spanning the sky over my house to the naked eye. Fantastically amazing. I hope you get to enjoy an experience like that at some point in your life. Perhaps next year we might have a great showing with Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS). It is showing signs of a lot of potential.

That sounds truly incredible, Brian, even the way you describe it gets me excited for future sightings! Thank you so much for sharing.

Asiair is next on my list of astro gear. Saw a mate using his a couple nights ago for the comet. Amazed how easy it is. I think I'd want to get a tablet to go with it rather than use my phone, so I can keep my phone free.

Great to see you back Helena. Lovely image too 👏, I love my asiair pro and like you say easy to set up and set an imaging run going and all from your phone. Good luck when you're at Uni. Looking forward to the travel rig videos 👍

Really nice setup and final image! The asiair mini does so many things well with so much less money than the pro model. Really good with an ipad. Also i spied a samyang 135, that is the smartest gear pick know to mankind.

Nice work. Just got about 10 min of exposures last night of the C2022 E3. Used my Redcat51 with the asi2600mc and asiair plus, so was widefield and had Mars in there too. Isn't this a grand time to be alive and imaging??!! Thanks for the view and cs!!

I use ZWO 2600MC and it's marvelous so far. I take only long exposure(mostly 600 to 1000secs) single shots and the pictures come out great!! 😊

Glad you're caught the comet Helena. I just imaged it flying by Mars on 10 Feb 2023. Good luck in school. I bet you're a science and math major

I think I will probably use an ASIAIR device when I get a ZWO camera. I would have friends to help me with it. With NINA I would be on my own. The ASIAIR seems straightforward.

I've come to the ASI AIR after using NINA, Debbie, and it is so easy to use straight out of the box. So far have had no crashes or bugs that I was used to dealing with in NINA. Fingers crossed you have a similar positive experience!
