Thanks so much Tony! pleased you liked it :) The double head torch GoPro combo worked well for documenting in real time, but having several heads straps didn't half hurt after a while lol. I've just picked up a cool 'dad cam' aka Camcorder with IR mode, so that should help with documenting antics in the dark with out the headache :D

Hehe thanks ziggy :) I couldn't resist adding epic journey-esque music for the stair scene. It's mainly just the fear of knocking something whilst navigating all the indoor obstacles hey.

Super shot, getting outside was much like myself, a real mission getting from house into backyard, usually I’ve not put the dew strap on often borrowing my wife’s hair dryer.. it’s funny When I first saw your grass outside I thought those white things were cigarette buts, thought crikey you smoke a lot ha ha.😂😂 with my wide angle rig I’ve gone with a quieter2 PC and Nina with Wi-Fi to a tablet, probably a bit more faff Than your setup, but works fine.. look forward to seeing more from the Tak, it’s nice bit of kit, Regards Tom..

Hey thanks a lot Tom! I'm glad it's not just me with the hairdryer (I've since thrown a coupe of dew shields together ready for next time!) haha I guess they do look a bit like cigarette butts at first glance, thankfully they're just rolled up leaves from the neighbours tree, clear skies to you Tom :)

Great result, one of my favourites NGC891 (which is in Andromeda by the way) sometimes called the outer limits galaxy as it appeared in the titles of that 60s sci fi show

Really great video! Can I ask is it possible to upgrade the tripod I have from my iOptron CEM26 1.5" tripod as it's a real pain to set up and move around. You make it look so easy carrying out side like that, if if it doesn't feel like that! 😀

Great video. I am learning and would like to ask- The description says this is an uncooled color camera? You did not show taking darks, flats, or bias frames, are these required?

Hey thanks :) I'm using a great little uncooled camera, it's the ZWO ASI585mc. I'll link it so you can check it out: www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-cameras/zwo-asi-585mc-usb-3-camera/ref/astrolavista/ Yes I only take light frames now as sensors have become relatively clean in recent years. You just need to make sure you have dithering turned when guiding so it moves slightly between each frame and cancels out any fixed pattern noise. Admittedly I could have done with taking flats in hindsight as there was a dust spot showing on the image when it came to post processing (I just used the clone tool to cover the spot as it was away from the actual galaxy luckily). You would get slightly better results with darks but for me it's not enough of an improvement to inspire me to start taking them again. I did used to take darks when using older DLSR cameras, but these latest generation of ZWO cams are nice and clean with no amp glow : )

Great video, but during you PA you say you got it to 4 arc seconds, yet when you showed the screenshot it was 3 mins and 11 seconds total error, what am I missing….?

Thank you, I've pinned a comment to explain the mix up. Sometimes my brain fails me when I'm narrating in real time. I saw the 3 and rounded up to 4, however should have said arc minutes not seconds. In hindsight I would of course round down to 3 arc minutes.
