I totally get your sentiment about people not giving a damn about ground nesting birds or anything that isn't their dogs. Most of them would likely consider themselves "nature lovers" too. Awesome video by the way, your local patches are very similar to my local patches but your photos and videos infinitely better than mine :)
I think the song of the skylark is my absolute favourite. It is so uplifting. Local to where I live, are 3 fields in a row where I discovered skylarks singing one early springtime. I nicknamed them Skylark Fields, and only my family know where I mean when I say I am going to Skylark Fields with my camera! (As you can see, I use the name for my You Tube name too!) Really enjoyed your video (and your short-eared owl one - amazing footage!).
oh no, as soon as you said 'some things really piss me off' with you being in a meadow full of skylarks, I knew what the story would be. Love the footage of the kes, I dont see them perching on somethign that flimsy.
Jesus don't get me started on some %^*&** dog owners! Great video Adam, and yes always surprising what is on the doorstep But certainly worth going the extra mile under different circumstances.
