This one knocks it out of the park. Can make so many personal photos look rustic or classic. Thank You for continuing to show how to do great things in photoshop
Marvellous Marty. Really enjoyed following this one, thank you. I added some blur into the photo i used as it was a bit sharp. That made it look a bit more realistic. Keep these coming!
Marty, I haven't commented in quite awhile, but your videos are better than ever! I know you absorb griping from bored haters for your careful, detailed, relaxed manner, but this style and care are what make you the best. I have an Associate's Degree in Digital Media Arts and have been a Photoshop fiend since 2009, yet I ALWAYS learn something new and useful from you. I'm sure it takes many hours to produce one 9 minute video. Thank you for all that you put into the narration, editing and lessons. It helps. A lot.
So much effort is put into every single one of your videos. We really appreciate you Mr. Marty!!! Thank you so much for sharing another mindblowing masterpiece with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice one :) can i ask if you want to do another photo you have to do all the steps again or just somehow you can replace the old photo with a new one?
Yes! Because you made the photo into a Smart Object at the beginning, you can replace it with a different photo, which automatically applies all the effects.
@@BLTV_Photoshop I click on the original bottom smart object layer, go to Layer>Smart Object>Replace Contents. I replace it with the picture I want, but the original photo is still showing faintly. The layer mask with the old stained paper is still showing the original photo. Do I just delete it? Do you have a tutorial on how to replace the contents of a smart object? Thank you.
Hi Marty, first off thanks very much for your great and informative video tutorials. I tried this out and found I could do most of it, unfortunately when I downloaded the template, the "scratched film" layer was missing from the psd? The psd did include the distressed film texture layer, the Old stained paper layer, and the two channels, however the scratched film layer was missing. Did I get the correct download?
When I make the border white, am I supposed to delete part of the copy of the original photo or the Old Stained Paper? Because if it's the Old Stained Paper, that's at 50% and doesn't go white. Meanwhile, the copy of the original photo is a smart object and is uneditable.
