Another non destructive way. is to put the fill to 0%. the option under layer opacity

The image I have is not a solid color so when I copy when you’re saying here it comes out strange. Is there a way you could help me directly with my image ?

This is very cool - but I only have Photoshop Elements and when you double click on the layer ... you don' get that window with the tools - Do you have a work-around for Photoshop Elements?

Interesting. Can something similar be done in Inkscape? I can see a low content book of tattoos, depending on how it works on more detailed images various coloring books for multiple age groups. I'm also seeing simple blueprint depending again on the detailing. Or would creating a vector line image still be the faster/ easier way?

Yes that is a great point, Inkscape could definitely be used to create coloring book or "outline" designs.
