A tip for everyone to make things even easier: You don't have to copy and paste. All you have to do is select the bulb with the direct selection tool, press Alt and drag on a PC (It's probably option on a Mac but I'm not sure). You will automatically have a copy. Thanks so much for this tutorial. I learned a lot. It is so nice to be able to copy the shapes instead of going though a huge pile up of layers. I had no idea that could be done and I've been using Photoshop for years (I feel embarrassed admitting that.) My Chanukah lights look so pretty!
Thanks Doug, great concept. Followed your directions, but @ 3:17 when I right click on the path, my options look nothing like yours. Get option of layers and to isolate layer, nothing about "stroke path". Very frustrating. What am I missing here?
At 6:45 or so I talk a little bit about them. I just used the Pen tool (in Shape mode, not Path mode) to draw the shape by hand. The reflection is pretty easy - basically you just copy all the layers except for the background, and merge them all together into one. Then flip it upside down and position it correctly. Last step is to fade it out with the eraser tool.

Hi Doug, Great job. How would it be look, in a winter wonderland landscape? Like yours it looks like too stylish in a clinic room. For those who want to make their own lights. Draw a vector shape (round egg, drop), then colorize the fill into white, lines to zero, then take the glow-filter in a color you like and the glowing effect
