Amazing tutorial! I didn't even know this was possible in photoshop! I stumbled across this by accident while looking for displacement map tutorials in 3d modeling software. Will definitely be using this!
You can make a separate file for the displacement map with the desaturated blanket, and then just use the original coloured blanket in your main file as background. You can then just apply the displacement map from the separate file similarly.
yes! place a square on top of the background and convert it to a smart object. After you converted it displace it using the method of the video. When you double click the square smart object you can place a logo in it and delete its background. Save the layer and go back to your original file and the picture should be adjusted. Colour adjustements like the black he added might influence your result so you should re do that. Or try a different blending mode, I often use multiply.
is there any video just like this but instead of just one back ground there are multiple like a guy wearing a shirt with a wall behind him . Wondering how i can change all the background colors once i desaturate
hey, Lou. Good video, but please speak closer to the mic, sounds like your speaking from across the room and even my volume turned up did not work well.
