On this installment of "Photosound," we delve into the sonic tapestry woven by a single object: the kalimba. We employed a Zoom H5 microphone to capture the instrument's harmonious plinks and pings. These audio snippets were then carefully refined and uploaded onto the Digitakt through Elektron Transfer. Each of the Digitakt's 8 pads was allocated a distinct kalimba sound, which were fine-tuned using a range of filters, pitch variations, reverberations, and echo effects to sculpt an entrancing musical composition.
