thank you for posting this... I am Christian (this time around), but I always want to hear other faiths' way of how they worship/meditate... it's all directed to the same place, ultimately. Peace should be our common goal... the only worthy adversary of "war" is "peace". Very much love from me and America! (my self and my country)
Thanks for your sincere and kind words, Anyway, honestly, worship and meditate can't be directed to the same place, as you believe in God, and most if not all Buddhists don't. It just doesn't compute =)
You are conflating gods and God with a capital G. Brahma is considered to be something like an angelic being: an immensely powerful yet ultimately mortal and non-omnipotent spirit. He could help humans probably, but he can't change things like karma, he is not omnipotent and quite often he is portrayed in teh Suttas as self-important and outright dumb. There is no direct worship of Brahma in the modern Buddhist countries, moreover, I know of no Brahma worship in the past. The modern Buddhist tend to focus on other popular deities (again, not omnipotent Gods, but rather angelic beings) or even ancestral or local spirits. Even then, it is not exactly worship like in Abrahamic religion but more like haggling with supernatural pwerful creature: I give you that thing, you help me out with my problem.
Thai Buddhists and Thai Chinese worship Phra Phrom (Brahma with four faces.) Brahma being a deva, is subject to karma. By way of human understanding he might well appear omnipotent to some. Though yeah, he looks like a total goof the way he's portrayed in the suttas. If I recall correctly, in the mahaparittas Buddha implores the devas to be kind and helpful to human beings on the basis of human reverence, worship and homage offered to the devas. You can meditate on any object.

It's not, I have lived here for 15 years, you would have to travel a long way to find a more corrupt country. Thais no nothing of the Buddhist teachings but like the ceremony.

Namo Tassa bhagavato Arahato Sammāsambuddhassa (đọc theo tiếng việt nam: Ná mô tás sá phá gá vá tô á rá há tô sâm ma sâm bút thás sá). Mr Win Wa: what is your purpose for writing here in Vietnamese? We (most people) don't even understand Thai language... you may as well continue writing in Sanskrit language... no one speaks that one anymore.
are you sad, happy, or you just don't know? feelings are our compass in life. sometimes we get lost and feel like we lost the compass. don't be afraid, follow your tears.

namo= i worship thassa = to that person bhagawatho = most fortunate of all / most superior of all arahato = fully enlightened / who uprooted all passions of mind samma sambuddhassa= the true buddha the great teacher / who liberated himself without any guide of others these thai words are not actually giving true sounds. they try to pronounce properly a lot. in some countries these words are far more polluted by chinese accent .but sinhalese buddhists are the people who pronouce these p[ali words correctly . because sinhalese is it self the modern pali version.
sure...no problem.. Remember that everytime we listen any mantra, our mind will automatically will recite it for you.. just like listening song as well..

ayeshika lakmali, you speak high on sinhalese, but are you objective enough? sinhalese alphabets sound are ”ke, khe, ge, ghe etc.” but burmese alphabets sound are ”ka, kha, ga, gha etc.” they sound the same with pali!
BUDDHA means the one who is LOKOTTAR (beyond the dimensions of space and time). But one has to break this binding of mind with space and time to understand what it means to be BUDDHA.
