I just practice again with these of words Here is the meaning of them : 1/ Be noticeable means stand out. 2/ Exercising sth means work sth out. 3/ Drawing attention to sth means point sth out. 4/ Be careful means look out. 5/ Be exhausted means wear out. 6/ Learning sth means find sth out. 7/ Deciding against means rule out 8/ Not coming home means stay somewhere out all night.

Thank you, Rebecca, for your outstanding explanations on phrasal verbs, you have simply approached a very exciting theme about English learning: the phrasal verbs! For us foreigners this subject is sometimes a real obstacle to understanding what you, Americans, say by using so many phrasal verbs. My native language is Portuguese (Brazil) and as such, it doesn't have this kind of construction! We have idioms as every language of course but no phrasal verbs! No Latin language has it but the German language does have it too, considering it belongs to the same (Germanic) Anglo-saxon family of languages. German is also a fantastic language "meiner Meinung nach" ("in my opinion") ! Please, go on teaching us more of your high knowledge on the universal English language! - José from Brasília, the capital town of Brazil.
@bahamansour3178

Talking about portuguese , is it difficult to learn ? Is spanish language easier or more difficult than Portuguese? Answer me honestly jose . Please . N.B: i am a great fan to Brazilian team of football since 1982 ( that dream team ) . Brazil to me is no. 1 when it comes to football ⚽️

Phrasal verbs are very common in English, especially in more informal contexts. They are made up of a verb and a particle or, sometimes, two particles. The particle often changes the meaning of the verb. I called Jen to see how she was. (call = to telephone) They've called off the meeting. (call off = to cancel) In terms of word order, there are two main types of phrasal verbs: separable and inseparable.

I wouldn't say REGULAR verb, I'd say "BASE VERB". "A regular verb" in English, is the one that needs the form "ED" for the past tense and past participle, right ?, and an "Irregular Verb" is the one that doesn't need the form "ED" for its past tense and past participle right ?. -That's what I know, but if I'm wrong, please get me right, I mean, correct me, so in another words ; For example; # Regular verb. Play = base form To play = infinitive Played = past tense Played = past participle. # Irregular verb. Write = base form To write = infinitive Wrote = past tense. Written = past participle. thanks a lot for reading my comment.

Hi Rebeca, How's it going ? If you allow me, I don't know if I'm wrong but I wouldn't call them "regular verbs", because you're saying that "wear" is a regular verb and that's not true, as you well know, "wear" is an "irregular" verb, I mean ; -Wear = present. -Wore = past. -Worn = past participle I think this is the correct conjugation. I think the correct words are "simple form", that's to say "wear" is the simple form of the verb or "stay" is the simple form of the verb, etc etc... well, thanks in advance for reading my comment Rebeca.

Good lesson but there are more important verbs than some of these E.g , get , go , give , take , help , put . Sorry .i've just got aware that these verbs you discuss are with OUT only . Alright . What about the verbs i've just written? Putting prepositions after each verb will change the meaning .they are in common use. For ex. Get in, get out , get on , get down, get over , get along , get at , get into . Get + the verb in past tense . etc, etc...... N.b : to rule out = to exclude. To rule out anemia , for example .
