Here we discuss how we can either determine the electric field of system from the force or we can determine the force on a charge from an electric field with some examples to illustrate how this is done. Using the concept of the electric field we also learn some interesting aspects of conductors. We finish with a brief introduction to electric dipoles and the force on the electric dipole in a uniform external electric field.
