Even though digital games appear to be taking over the market, all Collector's Editions should STILL come with physical game releases, because I'm absolutely sure that the people who care enough to buy those are always gonna be the very same people who WANT physical games.

How we relate to media, the culture around it and the emotional relationship to it is worth exploring in much detail. Off topic, I started jamming in my kitchen to the music halfway through the video while waiting for my burger to re-hydrate and not half crumbly bun syndrome. (Stick it in an oven safe container with a soaked paper towel completely covering the top, you end up with the bread in a very humid atmosphere, which the bread slowly absorbs while in the oven).

I hate what's happened to buying music. I hate Amazon music, therefore I only get to listen to whatever trash I have downloaded on YT. Man even 5 years ago I could get an album off Amazon, download it or rip it and listen to it where and whenever I want with or without internet. GTA San Andreas before the definitive edition.

I will admit it 4k blu rays are in my mind staples center of physical media. But I also would agree that physical media and streaming services have their financial advantages over one another in their own way like with streaming services the price for monthly streaming is the same cost of each physical disc but me being a man of quality over quantity I would say the financial benefit that 4k discs and all other forms of physical media have over streaming is the fact that you don’t have to pay monthly to keep the rights to watch it. And I’m willing to take my time to afford physical media and save up my money.

to be fair, the fridge displays are good when you ddont have alot of counter space and want either a cooking tutorial or recipe, or are hands free and cant open the fridge that second, also alot of them now can allow you to custom mix drinks based on specifications you can program manually.

my problem with digital media is that it allows shenanigans microsoft said that if you didn't convert your mojang account to a microsoft account by a certain time you would no longer own the game and be able to play it online. Now i own a copy mass effect 1 if the company ever changed hands i would still own that copy however i purchased minecraft but i can now no longer play it online. thats theft but somehow its legal.

When you buy a modern physical video game you dont own it if you dont have internet access you cant play it but that is not the case wite physical movies you dont need internet access to Play blu rays or dvds you do own them and you also get better picture quality on Blu Rays than on streaming!

Digital storefronts on PC were forced to embrace sales as they had to compete with FREE. Piracy is more convenient than Steam, but Steam offers cool online features and you can find a key cheap enough in some alternate store. Piracy is literally the main reason for Steam's success

Yes it is bud, many stores are starting to stop selling physical media like physical cds and physical movies and physical games which I know two stores in Canada. Aka one called real canadian superstore stop selling them and even toys r us even stop selling physical media too which it sure shows how physical media sure is Dying.

Just think about it; Reading, aka access to media, was literally gatekept by the state/church for thousands of years all over the globe. This fully altered the retention of knowledge, what was passed on and how culture developed. And people put up with it, they had no choice.

I recently got a VHS player (for $6) and a ton of tapes ($.50 a piece) it’s been nice to go back and see what media was, what I feel it should be. It lost the charm and uniqueness. Now you have to search for shows when shows used to find you

That's an odd way to look at shows and I never thought about that. You really did only see shows you wanted to watch from word of mouth, commercials, and TV Guide magazines you'd get at the store 😂 So fascinating how much media has changed. I hear a lot of new-age music producers for example adding in flaws like cassette pitch shifting and noise to give songs character. Because without those elements, things feel stale like Muzak

Funny anecdote, I can't speak to the veracity of this but I've heard several times that the music in the "You wouldn't steal a car" anti-piracy ad was used without permission from, nor compensation for the owners and therefore was technically pirated.

companies should be forced to provide, care for, and keep usable any digital only media they own for a fair market price as long as they have copyright on that material.
