Thanks, Dawn! I try to get right into it - and for foundation reviews, I do them all in the same sequence/format so once you know what order I go in, you can skip right to whatever you want because they're basically all the same. Intro/description, swatches, application, finished makeup look and chat about what I'm wearing as makeup that day, daylight check-in outdoors, then conclusion.

So, I know you have a pretty extensive skincare routine, but I have this foundation and it looks SOOOOOOOO glowy, and healthy on my skin. It doesn't cling to dry patches or settle into ANY of my wrinkles. But, I put this foundation over either the Weleda Skin Food or the Vanicream Moisturizing Skin Cream (the one in the big tub), and it makes the foundation look STUNNING!!!!! I also pumped the foundation on the back of my hand, smoothed it out (I know it sounds weird, but it's an old Wayne Goss tip) and then I dip the butt of my sponge in it and then apply it to the skin. I don't powder it at all. I just use cream Blush, bronzer and highlight 🥰🥰

Physicians Formula was first developed by a physician for his wife who was allergic to many typical ingredients including fragrance. The entire line used to be completely fragrance free. It's easy to tell that they were bought out some time ago as almost everything now is heavily laden with it. I'm loving the Maybelline Sky High mascara, it's my current fave! Would love to watch a vlog from you Shelly! :) The foundation shade looks good and your nails match your hair nicely! :) Please stay safe from the impending ice storm.

As you said you have mascaras for different styles/looks, I would LOVE to see a video of you curating all of the mascaras you use for different purposes. It would be cool to see if you have different application methods or combos of primer & mascaras. I LOVE mascara and application techniques. I save my brushes from the mascaras I love and try them with different formulas to see what effect the combo of brush and formula have. This kind of video would probably take a while to compile , so sorry to suggest you do a lot more work! Your just so enjoyable. Take care & thanks for sharing your gifts!

I was so happy to hear that you sometimes have to tap out settling in lines a few times (I assume with other foundations as well?)! I find there is really no foundation I use that has zero settling into my various lines... finest, medium and deep. The key is .... does it eventually stop, and how quickly. Sometimes it’s exhausting with this age 64 1/2 skin. 🥵

Love when cat makes a cameo, can’t help but look at her cuteness! and it was funny when you were talking about the mascara and I could hear her in the background scratching on something lol 😂 also I saw many other reviews who said they hated the primer. I honestly never buy anything from PF cause they’re kind of expensive for drugstore

Ziva is a beautiful girl!! I am so glad that you reviewed this foundation!! I am even happier that you like it! I have normal /dry skin. My forehead and between my brows is where it is dry. There are times that I skip foundation on my forehead because I don't even want to be bothered. When I had bangs it was super easy...LOL I have the same mascara but haven't broken it out yet. Still loving my current mascara!

This is currently one of my favorite foundations! I'm in love with it... That means they will probably discontinue it lol. I do set it with just a small amount of powder and I get less settling. I also use a setting spray! It wears so good! I have fairly normal skin.... I might be slightly oily. I don't use any primer at all with it. I haven't tried the primer that goes it. Thanks again for reviewing it. I just couldn't wait to try it lol ❤️❤️

Used to use a lot of PF in my younger years, haven't really used anything from them in a while. Not bad. Loving this mascara. Tip it vertically & push up the lashes, after separating horizontally. My eyelashes haven't looked so good. I have the non~water proof & still no flaking. Knew I had to try after my indie makeup group recommended. Those girls know and don't talk a lot about main stream brands. Thanks for the post & testing!

Great review, thank you! The product looked great on your skin, despite the initial rocky start (patting out lines, etc). I'm a foundation junkie, though, and always tempted by new ones. It's very gratifying to be able to make better decisions based on thorough reviews like yours--so, again, thank you for that. The fragrance alone is enough to steer me away from this one... I just can't get into foundations that claim the whole "concealer" thing. I like my concealers to be concealers and my foundations to just be foundations and not a combination of both! So so glad you reviewed the Sky High mascara! It's been on my radar for quite some time and I just haven't seen anything on it to make me wanna purchase it - until now! So, thanks for that! There’s a new technique outside, you should try to mix it with the Advanced night repair from Estée Lauder and then, put on your face. It supposed to be more natural and less dry. I will try that for sure. Thank you for this review.

I’m glad you mentioned the sky high. All the hype behind it has made me want it so bad but, like you I have 20 mascaras! I couldn’t go through them all before they went bad if I used them 2x a day or more lol I get them in all my subscription boxes. I just got the fenty in a boxycharm and it’s nothing spectacular.

Sounds like I'll be sticking with my Age Perfect, still nothing from the drugstore beats it so far. I love when you review foundations I have my eye on bc your skin is the most like mine out of everyone I watch. I have that Sky High mascara too and I LOVE it, like you said it separates and coats every lash. It does give me great length though. I love Ziva hanging around in the background all the time. Hi, if you are referring to the healthy skin foundation, I just saw it yesterday the shelves were totally stocked with it so maybe it came back or they never discontinued it I don’t know but you might want to check Walmart out that’s where I saw it, just an FYI. 😀

Hi Jessica! I'll add that to the list! Generally once I found the MAC Paint Pot I stopped using most other eyeshadow primers, because it works so well for what I need (anti-creasing, shadow longevity, and coverage of the blood vessels and red spots that you can see on/through my eyelids). The Alter Ego eyeshadow primer is pretty much a straight up dupe for the Urban Decay Primer Potion so I sometimes use that. But I prefer the Paint Pot for its coverage. If you don't need coverage, check out the Alter Ego. Unfortunately I don't really have any others to recommend because I don't buy them! They stopped making my old favorite Maybelline primer.

Thanks for another great review! Physicians Formula is one of those brands that I want to love buuuut...I just can never fully get on board with. Good ideas, but always kinda misses the mark. I think I might just like their packaging lol 😂 May I suggest a review of the newly reformulated NYX Total Control Pro Drop foundation? Really interested in that and haven't seen many reviews yet. Tbh, I'm getting to a point where it's hard for me to even consider a foundation seriously until I've seen you review it 🤍

I don't like coconuts so I'm not a fan. I tolerate it if the product is really good (I used to wear their butter blushes a lot) but I'd just as soon avoid it.

How long should skincare soak in before doing makeup? I think I do too many steps too close together and get pilling. I can not make the Good Molecules caffeine eye patches not to pill up.

I usually go for absolute minimum of 15 minutes primarily so that my sunscreen has time to set down. I don't want to disturb it and end up with patchy sun exposure.

Is your sky high mascara the water-proof one? Because that one is 1000% different than the regular non water-proof one. I bought both, and I WAAAAYYYY prefer the regular one. The water proof version is very hard to build up.

Wow!! My only complaint with it is that it's really hard to wash off. I'm having no luck with cleansing balms, cleansing oils, or cleansers.

Bought it. I have mature, dry skin. I kinda like it, not the best. You have to use very little. It also oxidized a bit. I do really like the putty primer. I tap on the putty primer. I tried rubbing it on and it pilled up a bit.

I can’t smell a thing with this foundation, I just bought it yesterday and tried it today and it was fragrance free the bottle I had! Nothing at all.

I use to love FF Powders. They change out their products and I am lost. Because of The Reality we live in, I don't diddle in makeup isles. The mascara looks very nice. As far as the foundation.. pass. Too many ingredients not suitable for sensitive skin. My Ulta did not carry Flower Beauty. Returns are a hassle for me because I live 45 minutes from Ulta and have my 3 yr old granddaughter with me 24/7. Before The Reality, we were considering babysitters and had narrowed in on a couple candidates. 2021 is here and there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Society will return to a more normal way of life 💜. Promising news from our tiny, rural newspaper, is that our educators and staff, will be getting round 2 of their vaccinations this week, if they elect to. HUGE soft spot in my heart for educators.
