if we put a beaker filled with water on a scale and ping pong ball threaded to the bottom. the scale will be giving us a certain reading. but if we cut the thread, at that moment the scale will read higher value until the ball reach the surface and water level drops. what do you call that phenomenon?
You can only use something that is heavier than water, more density. Oil itself floats on water and it will not mix with it. So if the egg goes down in water it will go down in oil too. So you will have egg on the bottom of the water and the oil on top of the water.
