Pia Douwes vertelt over 'Op zoek naar Maria' 

I think she went more into coaching and mentoring people how to sing and act, she also supports many charity organizations. It feels that she maintains more peaceful life right now after all those years of demanding yet beautiful career.

​@@Meggie951 A few weeks ago she told in a Dutch tv show (de Gevaarlijkste Wegen van de Wereld) that she's working on her voice. She misses singing and although her voice is improving, it's a long process. A year ago (or so) she thought she would never be able to sing again, so I think that's why she put the focus on her coaching activities (and either way I think she wants to have a more peaceful life, but like - not as drastic as quiting). Let's hope she's able to shine again on stage this september in The Prom 🙏🥰

@@mole1378 it's not exactly what she said at the end. He asked her if she would be a "head-judge" in a op zoek naar show again or she would like to be a normal judge/coach. And she said that she wanted to be a "head-judge" if the production asked her again. Before the end part she talked about how she loves coaching. But she doesn't tell if she prefered it to performing.
