Bandanas come from India, first of all, and you don't see any Indian people in here whining like children. The word comes from the Indian word 'Bhandhana', which means to tie.... The paisley designs are also from India. Sorry to burst your bubble, but nobody OWNS the bandana. African Americans, Hispanics, Bikers, we ALL use them, so get over the title. Says a lot about life nowadays when people get all whiney over a title on the internet.

Bandanas have been around for almost 200 years, the word bandana is thought to have originated for the Hindi, bāṅdhnū the word means "bound cloth." The bandana or kerchief is worn by many cultures and for religious practice. The paisley bandanas originated from Paisley, Scotland. The first bandana that was believed to come to America was a gift to George Washington from Martha Washinton. It's said that after the gift, the bandana became popular in America, then again after Rosie the Riveters, "We can do it!" movement, women began wearing them, but all through the last 200 years people have being wearing them, from every culture. If there are any facts I have gotten wrong please feel free to tell me! P.S. These are facts that I have spent time looking up, from many different sources.
