Pia's win was truly a milestone. Sa lahat ng pinagdanan nya and after 42 years of waiting ng Pilipinas, she finally gave us our 3rd crown.

The most humble, down to earth, smart and kind Ms. Universe we had. She deserves all the blessings coming her way, very smart, confident and as the years go by she is getting more beautiful... I love both Pia and Catriona they have different stories but very inspiring and admirable. How ever Pia is my most favorite Ms Universe who won. What I love about Pia is being relatable and i really admire how she handles the struggle from the beginning until the end. Imagine the struggle before winning the crown and facing the scandal of Ms Universe while she was the reigning title, when we thought everything was fine because she already won but still she handles those who are against her winning. But look where she is right now. I hate when people judge her for being Epal or being relatable every time there is Ms Universe hello she doesn’t need too. She is iconic and she is Ms Universe so you can't erase her for giving us such impact specially for winning the 3rd crown and by opening the doors to our fellow candidates to work harder. I wish her all happiness and continue her platform and advocacy to help the world, the universe rather with or without a crown.

The story about her gown made me cry. I love her so much. She's such a strong woman.

Now I know the reason why she won. It is because she is SELF DRIVEN. Nakita ng Diyos na nagsumikap talaga sya para manalo kaya ibinigay yun sa kanya ng mabuting Diyos. I love Pia's humility. Hindi na rin ako nagtataka kung bakit marami ang nagrereklamo noon sa mga gowns na pinapasuot sa ating mga kandidata bago nanalo si Pia noong 2015. They did not have the freedom to choose what they want to wear. Buti na lang natauhan na si Madame Stella. Hindi ko alam kung gusto nya ba talagang manalo that time yung mga pinapadala nyang kandidatang pilipina or yung puso nya ay nasa Colombia pa. Buti na lang marunong magdala ng gown yung mga kandidata natin. Kung titignan natin yung evening gowns ni Venus Raj, Ariella Arida , Janine Tugonon at LJ Lastimosa noong sumali sila sa Miss U, hindi kagandahan yung gowns nila BUTI NA LANG marunong silang magdala at nakakaabot sila sa Top 5. Kaya binabash pa nga noon si Barazza yung Colombian designer na kababayan nya dahil doon nya pa inaangkat ang isusuot ng mga kandidata natin. Magmula ng manalo si Pia nagbukas rin ito ng pinto sa magagaling na pinoy designers sa ibang bansa. Yung mga sumasali ngang banyaga ngayon sa Miss U sa pinoy designers pa sila nagpapatahi.

I’ve been rooting for Pia since 2014 when I saw her join BBP for the 2nd time. Naalala ko nagalit pa ako kay Angara kasi tinanong niya si Pia ng Tagalog question samantalang yung ibang member ng judges is hindi naman Filipino tapos ayun natalo siya. Then in 2015, when I saw her in the evening gown competition I saw the winning glow. Fast forward to Miss Universe. The night before I was really excited for her. Napanaginipan ko pang mananalo siya. Nung tinawag siyang 1st runner up I was really disappointed. Tapos biglang binago. Nagkatotoo yung panaginip ko 😅

It’s not boring, ang sarap i-reminisce ng moment mo Pia tapos may mga ganung details pala that we don’t know about. Love you!!!

The dedication of Ms. Pia is truly inspiring. Yung mga obstacles she encountered in her life and challenges during the competition ay nakakamangha kasi inaral nya pinag handaan nya talaga, she pushed things na hindi kailangan ng tulong nga iba or king kailangan man may permiso. Talented, intelligent, kind, generous, funny and she has respect for everyone.

Ang maganda talaga kay Pia compared to ALL the other Ms. Philippines candidates is kita mo yung pagkanatural nya pero matalino. Hindi yung parang laging nasa beauty pageant kung sumagot and hindi yung parang laging praktisadong may ipinaglalaban. Natural lang talaga. Kaya til now, super relevant pa rin and ang daming engagements.

Pia talks naturally from the heart, she is meant to have that crown. Everytime Pia talks, it is not boring. Gusto ko siya the way she answered the questions. Maiintindihan mo lahat ng Kanyang mga sinasabi

Catriona set the standard _sa_ Miss U. You know, the whole confidence thing, from the way you strut the runway or grab the camera’s attention or the way you communicate your thoughts. Catriona set the bar so high _kaya tignan ang mga kandidata ngayon, parang wala nang sariling_ identity _kasi gayang-gaya si_ Catriona. _Pero_ Pia is so _parang_ yes, the Miss U _ng masa._ Very natural, _walang mga pasabog pero nakakapag-deliver ng_ exceptional performance. Very Filipino _na parang_ okay, _pinaghandaan ko ‘to pero bahala na sa araw mismo ng_ event. And she won fair and square.

After watching this interview, I watched her farewell speech at Binibining Pilipinas 2016 when she passed the crown to Maxene. For me, it was the best speech. Watch it!

I was not Pia's fan but after hearing her here, she really cemented herself as one of the most deserving winners in Miss Universe history. I am so impressed with her confidence and determination.

Not every beautiful girl indeed have the guts, the intelligence,the calm necessary to adopt oneself in such intense ,nerve wracking hours of waiting for a gown to wear in such a prestigious international contest. It was my 1st Christmas in the US when Pia won in Nov 2015 so in order to honor and celebrate her winning I decorated our 9.5 ft Christmas tree in blue with silver accent ( similar to her blue gown) and it was very beautiful and meaningful. 💙 My FilAm community rejoiced with me when she was declared as the real winner.

I just so love her. I even followed her IG just to see all her kaganapan. She’s very natural when it comes to kwentuhan. Naalala ko pa nung time na nag Miss U. sya tutuk na tutuk kami Ng asawa ko at napaiyak nung sya pala nanalo. Grabing saya ko kc bilang pinoy na naka tira sa USA Syempre subrang saya na they called ur country. Shocking mistakes ni Steve, na akala namin joke ba yun or ano, grabi talaga! Every time she talks I can see her eyes shining parang my star lagi. She’s my favorite amongst the rests. She really does speaks from the heart.❤

Hearing these from Pia, I realized that candidates after her really had it easy because of her. She really paved the way for her successors. Lahat halos sariling sikap nya with her limited resources but she won fair and square. And ang talino nya talaga. Yung talinong totoo na pangtotoong tao and hindi pangbeauty pageant.

The Philippines won! Pia won!! And I was feeling happy for the Philippines and Pia, then they cut the televised and I still wanted to watch her doing the victory walk. But sadly they had to cut it😔 Anyway, so many years and Ms. Universe pageants have passed but it will always be my favorite 😊

Not saying Cat had it easier but her 2018 crown is really meant for her.

Great interview. Pia’s narrative reveals the order of events- from beginning to the end. Adding the important little details of her experience( although it may sound trivial to us) She makes us have a better understanding of her journey to winning the Miss Universe title. Also di siya nag embellish or padramatic effect. Basta matter-of-fact lang. I do appreciate Dr. Belo for not interrupting the flow of conversation.

Honestly, I don't follow Pia on soc med. But here, I find her an amazing communicator. She makes a lot of sense. I have a feeling that she has rehearsed a lot of her answers on interviews, like PR, but the delivery is amazing. It's just she makes sense. :) So I always believe that she deserved her win.
