Hello Vag and Jason, it's june '16 now and my slooowww Vespa lx 125 is gone, i have now a Vespa GTS 250ie and thats realy NICE, and yesss Jason mine GTS have also the "wobble" from 40-65 kmpu thats realy anoying bit with two hands on the handlebars its acceptable, they are Italian and NOT Japanese Bikes LOL, we LOVE our Big Vespa.The GTS 125 rides farrr better and smoother than anny LX125 or 150. The GTS is bigger, heavier, just a big Vespa. :))) Cheers from the Netherlands.
That's what mine was doing until last week, when my belt snapped... ive had the belt replaced and now the bike is much slower! I've taken it back to the garage and new lighter weights have been put in, which improved it a little but its nowhere as fast as it used to be... so I'm thinking of getting rid of it because of that! 😢 Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should try to make it faster again? Otherwise she's gonna go!
+boy hill My top speed on flat road was 107-108 km/h and it's 98-99 km/h on gps (verified by me). But riding with speed around 100-105 km/h on tacho makes no sense. Revs are so high and it's sound like Vespa is talking to you: please don't do it to me :) 80-90 km/h is enough.
+boy hill ...... interesting. ... it's almost the same as the 125 two stroke orange color I was driving in the 1970s.... it was really nice up to 50-55 mph..on a long drive into the mountains downhill at 60 mph the front tires started to wobble.. I guess their still made for city driving. " to much fun "
