I fully agree on that!!! Vespa is the prototype from the inventors!!! Which came later are copies or totally diferent machines with some looks of a scooter or allmost exact copies, like LML!!! In Italy they Love LML too!!!

I don't understand your surprise to see these images; we're talking about a minimum of 30 years ago. Completely different era. The Vespa especially after "II World War" was a symbol of freedom and reinassance here in Italy. In that years the Vespa was cheap to buy and also the poor families could have vehicle to move around the city. The families had a little money and could only buy Vespa or Fiat 600/500 for all the members of the family. It's absolutely normal see those scenes in those years.

A chinese Scooter ist just a Scooter. But a Vespa is a statement, it's Ars vivendi. You can't copy that.
