I recall attending an Integrity Hosanna worship seminar about 15-20 years ago at Church on the Way in Van Nuys, Caifornia. Jack Hayford was the keynote speaker for the last session. He reflected on the free flow songs and choruses so many churches were singing, and he made a couple of comments. Bear in mind he has written dozens if not hundreds of choruses: 1) The choruses are wonderful, but let us as the Body of Christ be careful, lest in abandoning hymns, we throw out the baby with the bathwater. He went on to say that today's choruses have little if any theology in some of them, and that hymns, many replete with Biblical theology, were the only Bible instruction many people have in this age and time when Sunday School is discarded for lack of interest. I think God's people 'perish for lack of knowledge'.This musician, Greg Howlett, I don't know him. But I know his spirit. I also know that he knows God personally--as do I. Praise God.
Greg, I'm sure that you are aware of the tremendous enormity of God's Blessing to you for His enjoyment. So true! As a musician myself (nothing like this ☺️) I remember teaching about the balance there must be in music-between the sections of singers as well as the music vs singers! The balance of highs & lows….slow & fast…. As God does in His creation. Greg does that sooo well!

The title says Piano and Orchestra, which means the piano is the featured instrument, which means it should show off more. If it said just Orchestra then you would have a point. Check out any classical orchestra piece of music it will be the same. If it highlights violin (like Minuet in G for Violin), then one or two violinist will be busy with the violin as the focused instrument.
Anointed, well done, Greg. n this day when so many of even our good churches have thrown the baby out with the bathwater, in singing good/great worship choruses, BUT have thrown out the time tested hymns that often contain theology. Often this theology is the sole source of teaching that many of today's instant gratification and sound bite length of attention that offers both believer and non-believer some basis for learning some spiritual principles. I'm 77 years old and I love the old hymns that nourished and taught me 'back when things were different'. My father was a pastor with a trained Irish tenor voice that would soar! We didn't lock our front doors! I'm still a worship team singer, still play flute and keyboard ... still worshiping our Lord. And I love a lot of the new. However, let's be careful to attend to the needs of senior saints who also wish to worship with music that has taught and grown us up in God. You're doing a good job, young man. Keep up the good work; keep your life pure; continue to offer to Him the sacrifice of praise; feed His sheep with your worship. Thanks for sharing with us.

I’m not a Seventh Day Adventist but just found a splendid choir, The Aeollians from Oakwood College in Dayton, OH. They were singing in an Adventist Church but I learned they were named the world’s choir in a very tough competition. I also watched a video of them singing in the UK, London, I think.
Beautiful, soothing, anointed music!! These songs bring back so many lovely memories of my parents who have both gone home to be with the Lord. My Dad was a pastor and he and mum sang some of these songs as duets at church services. Dad would often burst out into singing many of these hymns at home during family devotions or while working or doing bible study etc. Miss them so much!!
I am playing this sweetly stirring music to my husband in ICU while he awaits valve surgery. His agitations and erratic vital signs are steadied and settled by the worshipful aspect of this wonderful music. J Bible

Oh my God these are the best music in piano that I love so much, I am a pianist at our church southern baptist in the Philippines an American lady missionary led me to learn to play the piano at my teenage years, I’m so great full I learned even not professionally I used this talent just for the Lord, I love these hymns it really touches your heart to the melody and message of the song,very wonderfully composed with the life experience of the composer thanks to them, I’m so sad many Christian churches today they don’t sing it anymore as if your not in the church I can’t feel the spirit through the noisy rock sound praise and worship songs as of today church ,thank you brother Greg i wish I could play like you, these volume are my fathers favorite songs every time I see my dad he always tell me Elvis go to the piano and he will sing with my mom for hours praising the Lord through music,now my Dad went with the Lord every time I hear these beautiful hymns his favorites I feel my dad is singing while I play my piano,I really missed my Dad I’m a pastor’s kid and I missed my choir in the Philippines .
Hey did you know that in the Heavenly Choir Lucifer was the head of the choir that had such a beautiful voice and was meant to serve the Living God with all his hosts of holy angels. But the pride and unrepentace made him to fall forever and be cast out of heaven towards the earth and he influences the churches not to play what uplifts and serves God. If you see drums in churches that is more his rocky songs. Sign of the times, and that the end is coming like a storm!!

You are so right sister, these "praise" bands are nothing but noise, I'm sure everyone will criticize me for saying that but to realize it all you have to do is look around you at the people, they are just standing there, pretending to sing and there is no worship, you can't even hear your own voice or anyone else, then they clap for the praise band at the end.
