This is such an incredible tutorial! And one of my favorite Sonatas in Mozart's most sparkling key I always think 🌟 What a beautiful discussion of history with lots of references, all the beautiful allusions to the transpositions and what they mean, and wonderful tips on technique too, not to mention the emotional aspects... You really are a phenomenal teacher Lou 💖💖 Inspiring x5000! By the way if you look down the grid of shorts under our channel homepage, and you come to the 13th, you will see Tiggy wearing an almost identical outfit to yours - great minds!!!🤣 Have a wonderful Sunday all of you, sending lots of love xxxx❤️🐾

@@PianoAngelicus It's an AMAZING tutorial - truly 👏 The depth, flexibility, lightness and lively pace you always offer make a wonderful super positive experience! I love all you do, but the tutorials are my favourite 💖💖 BTW, you gave me particularly uplifting fun with this one - your playing of Mozart and the key reminded me of such happy times in my 20s, touring Germany with Tamas Vasary performing the two C major concertos in the Berlin Philharmonie! The way you approach Mozart is so similar 😁 You must do more! xx

Aww thank you ❤❤❤. I’m off to listen to some T V now😘😘. Mozart has always been like breathing to me - I remember Mr Yu saying ‘but how do you know’ when I was playing Mozart slow movs. He couldn’t say anything to help because the music was speaking so loudly to me. It was always that way. Like home. I’m planning to record all the sonatas. Gosh what awesome memories of that tour♥️♥️♥️. 21, and 25…amazing. I played 21 a few times with orchestra. I’m so encouraged to keep on with the tutorials….I find talking so hard….not just on video but in general. We now realise I’m autistic (after both boys diagnosis) and it explains many things and the challenges and burn outs etc I’ve faced. Love you guys and sending a hug to Tiggy from Clara and Henry😻
@PurePositiveBeing

@@PianoAngelicus Love you too, and thank you Clara and Henry ❤️❤️ Yes what you say figures Lou - it's easy to feel Mozart's pulse through your heartfelt playing, and what a great project to record the sonatas😃xx Have a special week ahead! Hugs and wags, Tiggy and us 💖

I did this in one of my old piano books, didn't find the actual piece 'facile' at all, but I learned a lot about it! thank you Louise. By the way talking of facile, how do you pronounce the last bit of your surname? Is Mesme pronounced Maym, or Mez-mee, or Mem, or Mez-may?? Or maybe another way???
@PianoAngelicus
@PianoAngelicus Год назад
Yes me and the boys say Mez-me…..though we’ve adapted that much to hubbys dismay (😱). It should be a more French Mess-ma. Hubby says even french people wrongly pronounce so we’d not got a chance 😂😂😂

@@PianoAngelicus yes I said that because in Gloucestershire, not that far from here, there is a place 'Clifford's Mesne', which is pronounce Clifford's Main!!!

This is a perennial question. So you use the pedal? I heard of finger pedalling and would it be better to use it for Mozart's pieces?
@townnet
@townnet 10 месяцев назад
Hi, should I use pedal for this pieces?
@PianoAngelicus
@PianoAngelicus 10 месяцев назад
Hi, you can certainly use both pedals in Mozart. Touches of the sustaining pedal especially in melodic parts that have clear Alberti bass / distinct chordal harmony would be a good start. (if that makes sense!). I wonder if it might be a helpful idea to film me playing it with pedal view or a tutorial on suggestions when to pedal using this piece. Someone else asked for a pedal tutorial so I will do that soon too. Good question though!! And happy Mozart playing ❤
