@@garrythompson4132 I was living in a small town in Ohio when this Album came out. I walked in this small "record store" (they had no stock) that was right next to the Dominos Pizza I worked. I started talking to the guy (he was a little strange) I said so what do you have new that you recommend? He handed me Mirage A Trios & said "This is new do you like Jazz? It's Jazz fusion" I said sure I'll try it. That day a huge Yellowjackets fan was born. This Album still blows me away. Saw them 4 or 5 times in the late 80's early 90's

since we don't hear the pulse of the song yet in the intro, we are tricked to believe the guitar is playing triplets (groups of three with an accent on every first beat), however, these "triplets" are actually sixteenth notes, grouped/phrased in sets of three, which is why the accent shifts and feels so syncopated/asymmetric. When the baseline kicks in, we start to wonder what's happening, and when the drum starts, we realise we've been tricked...
