Pianoforte - The Legend
On the occasion of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Birthday on 31 March 2024, Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music in collaboration with Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra is delighted to organize a historically extraordinary event “Pianoforte - The Legend: From Cristofori to Steinway” at the Piano Museum in the Kian Gwan Building in Bangkok. The collection includes a harpsichord, square pianos, pianofortes, cabinet pianos, upright pianos and grand pianos from Germany, France, England, America etc.
The program, curated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanyapong Thongsawang, pianist and musicologist, includes a Museum guided tour followed by a concert, performed on Italian harpsichord and antique pianos by Chanyapong Thongsawang and distinguish guest artists: Alberto Firrincieli, Jayana Wisaijorn, Areeya Rotjanadit and Laurens Patzlaff.
