very nice flight , we flew at south shore club today, could weather made for fast and touchy planes , all our landings were fast today couldn't get anything to slow down
Need a slower landing speed...more throttle and flaps and a bit of differential on the elevator to reducs its sensitivity. Once a model flares like that you know your approach was wrong. Nice model and great build.
What is the power panel that is hidden under the hatch called? Is there a link you could provide to one because I am interested in buying one! Beautiful airplane!
The power panel is a TGHXS007HD Dual HD switch w/ dual charge jack + fuel dot. He got his off-shore but Great Hobbies currently carries them. www.greathobbies.com/productinfo/?prod_id=TGHXS007HD&ref=soldwithprod
I love that plane very very well built I wish kits were still made I will not fly anything i did not build myself part of the experience. The only thing I would do different is run my choke manual not on a servo and you guys fly really high most of the time
love all the talk of the pilot on startup as his nerves are running high.. People underestimate the challenge of landing a 25 lb model...you have to know how to land otherwise the weight will rip the wheels off every time.
Sorry but it wasnt the bounce that did it.. it nosed up as slow speed and then belly flopped due to lack of lift. If nose up add a burst of power to extend the landing and avoid a sudden stall. Great plane
Idle all the way on final, BAD move. Warbirds have tons of drag and they don't float. You can't go to idle and expect them to float in like regular models, especially this heavy draggy pica. 20-25% throttle is required on final until just before touchdown. Hopefully the owner figured that out
