Did you tick the "enable joystick" checkbox in those settings?! Another possibility is that you have multiple inputs (accidentally) trying to control (for example) elevator, then your desired controls can get overridden.

Only by modifying the aeroplane config files directly I'm afraid. Can you take it by using aileron->rudder mix?

@@dannychapman3247 that kind of mix is counter intuitive...creating too much drag and different stick moves...but none the less a great sim 👍

At 2:40 or so. After selecting the input/control go through the three buttons below to set the middle, min and max positions.

I would expect so, but can't guarantee it!

In the video at about 2:42 : you need to move the stick to the left, then (as you're hold it there) press the "Press when left or down" button. Then move it to the right and press the "Press when right or up" button. This will fix any reversal, and also make sure the movement range maps correctly.

The code isn't capping the frame rate - are you sure vsync isn't isn't enabled in your gfx settings (assuming windows?)?

Work on the original PicaSim is shelved, yes. Though I've been thinking that I might make an update to the Windows version to add some model planes. Also, Google is (I think) about to pull it from Google Play due to lack of updates, at which point I might make the APK available (with additional planes). I've been thinking about a complete rewrite, using a modern game engine for improved graphics/controller support/networking etc. but that's not started yet...

I can't comment on that tx, as I use a FrSky X9d+ (either direct, or via the xsr-sim dongle), but for ages I thought the switches weren't working on that... only to realise that I had to set the transmitter up to output the switches to a channel. Then they show up as analogue inputs and can be mapped.

@@profrat thanks, I just had a reply on the facebook page too, saying to do something similar, having an analogue input seems to be the key,. I will give it a try!

Unfortunately, I can't - at least not the Android/iOS versions. It uses a software library that is no longer available and only supports what are now pretty old versions of Android/iOS... (and replacing that software library would involve a massive re-write that wouldn't be fun!)

There's a few transmitters that you can connect directly via USB and will appear as "game controllers" - for example the Taranis X9D+. Most transmitters will not work on their own like this - (if they have a USB socket it is just for programming/backup etc). For those you'll need either a USB simulator cable that works with your transmitter, or a wireless "dongle" (basically a receiver) that again will be related to your transmitter. These are easy to find for almost all makes of transmitter. I suggest you do a web search for your transmitter model and "simulator cable" or similar, and see what comes up!
