Can you imagine having to pick a hundred or two hundred acres like that in the fall not to mention taking care of your livestock your feeding your crops too lol things are so different now days thanks for sharing
Those pickers were filling the wagons with one row, so you would have dump every row. I’m certain the new corn is considerably higher yield than in the 40’s and 50’s. Are you going to Elnora in a few weeks?
Back in the eighties we did 200+ acres of beans with an IH 615 combine with a 13' head. Then put on the 2 row 724 corn head and long with the New Idea 324 picker equipped with a 327 12 roll husking bed did 200 acres of corn. Had a farrow to finish hog operation also.
I would think it would do a better job the slow you go myself. I really notice this while plowing, I go at much lower speed than most, but it puts on a good show!
