The thing is Percy agrees with Lukes's goal just not his execution of said goal. If dethroning the gods didn't risk humanity Percy would definitely go for it even at the cost of his own life. He's already such a hero and saved so many people that he kind of already has an army. Not only of Greek demigods but Roman demigods who had never had an alliance with the Greeks or even knew about them before, but also in the age of some of if not the most powerful Half-bloods in all of history, they would win, but Percy fights for all of humanity not just demigods.

That’s how you know it’s a good villain/antagonist. You don’t agree with their actions, but you can understand why they’re doing them.

@@coreyklaustermeier5692 It was kinda the same with Octavian. The gods were incapacitated because the Greeks and Romans found out about each other, and he saw the only way to fix that being the destruction of the Greeks. It's a "the end doesn't justify the means" situation

Oh yeah, you're right! Although I believe not fully because Ares was also kind of brainwashed by Kronos as well, from what I remember in the original book. So I suppose Clarisse and the rest of Ares cabin will still back their dad~

I'm pretty sure Ares didn't know he was helping Kronos (he only met Luke and Kronos spoke trough Luke and convinced Ares that they would cause a war). The Ares cabin at camp half blood (and I expect the god as well) did actually support Poseidon.

@@mysticken7776 No remember in Sea of monsters Clarrise really wanted to protect the camp and when the chariot eases was going on she tried to get border patrol up and running, so even though she claims she wants war all the time she wants to protect her home and friends (even though she doesn’t like to admit it)

Dionysus cabin here, not sure where I would stand in this whole feud.

Well, Zeus is accusing Poseidon's son, Percy, to be the one who stole his lightning bolt. But then, of course, Poseidon knows that that was not the case since he never had any direct contact with Percy nor his mother, even before Percy was actually born. So, if Percy was completely clueless about the Greek myths being real, how and why would he steal the bolt from Olympus and right under the gods' nose? But then, Zeus still does not see sense to that logic and continues with his accusations (not to mention that the two gods have a long history of rivalries and such, according to the myths). So yeah, the rest of the Olympian gods and goddesses have no choice but to pick sides between the two, and the same thing can be said about their children (demigods). So yeah, that's pretty much the gist of it. I hope I was able to explain it well~ 😅 P.S. Don't be afraid to ask for more questions, as I (and the rest of PJO/HoO fandom) would gladly answer them 😄💕

@@lillycant Sorry for the late reply~ Welp, Spoiler Alert Nico is one of the two demigods that Grover found a bit later in the series, and they also later found out that he's a son of Hades. He played a huge part in the later parts of the PJO series and more so in the Heroes of Olympus series
