Tommy Lee it’s 2 layers of ~5” thick pick and pluck, then a final ~1” thick layer of solid foam at the bottom. This is nice so you can create varied depth slots depending on the gear going in it.

Okay. Thanks. Its awesome! I never thought of using something like that for a desk when I was shopping around (ended up building my own). I am now trying to revamp my office and thinking about changing desks. I originally built two 6 foot long standing desks (I use bar height swivel chairs for desk seats when I want to sit since I used tall staircase newel posts for legs). The desks are 100% wood, but I find myself often wishing for a marriage of metal and wood. Thanks for the quick response and for the explanation on pick and pluck foam. Phillippia Fuqua no problem! I wanted a large space that was sturdy and this works great. It also has adjustable legs. I used to have it at standing desk height but I decided to lower it back down. But taller legs cost like $29 for a set of 4.
