Ooolala I LOVE that colour! Thanks for the review. I'm looking into buying another uke to add to my collection so the info is helpful. Wish they also come in soprano size.
Great unboxing and demo They sent me the same one but instead of unboxing I did some musical demos but my dog got really sick two days before Christmas and then right on Christmas we were at vet emergency for 6 hours. Both vet visits she was dehydrated. It was awful. She is on the Mend thank God but now I have a lot of catching up to do with the videos. I got the blue one too :)
Terrible news about the dog but good to know she's feeling better. Glad to hear you got a Pickapick. I know Steve (Steve's Strings) got one too. We seem to be a trifecta for a lot of these upcoming companies. If one of us gets one, we all get one. LOL.
A ukulele, especially at this price point, could easily be restrung for a lefty. The only thing is the sound hole... I am a lefty who has always played right handed, but I also have played ukes for several years and this is a great value. You can stick the pick guard wherever you want.
You are right John! I have a restrung tenor uke with a centered sound hole, so it works fine. This is a really cool asymmetrical design that really doesn’t lend itself to a flip which I why I build my own lefty CBGs and CBUs! I can also stretch the scale lengths on the ukuleles to make them easier to play. P.S. Playing right handed at first didn’t work out for me, was much easier to learn left handed.
@@cbgslinger Agreed Doug, they added the side sound hole so it would be pointed towards your head while playing. If you flip it over that sound hole will be pointed at your feet defeating it's purpose. With this kind of a design, I think they really need to make RH/LH versions. With some of the more symmetrical ukes, converting them from RH to LH is as simple as recutting the nut and re-stringing.
My opinion, based on observation and having played ukuleles for a few years and purchased several for grandchildren, is this appears to be a great value for the price. Especially with the gig bag included. I would market them to school districts. I imagine by next year the price will be 50% higher.
You are probably correct about that. It's a young company so they may have to raise prices as they grow. Now would the time to snatch one up for that price. Thanks for watching.
