Join me to explore the amazing mods and add-ons to our 1992 Mercedes Unimog 1350L. From a Fire Truck to a full-blown Overland-Vehicle. This is one extreme conversion to an Expedition Truck. #NOFOMO, #Unimog, #Overlanding, #Vanlife
Very nicely explained, besides in a language that can be easily understood worldwide! And as a Brasilianer I have to say thats very good to have someone talking in liters, millimeters and kilometers instead of gallons, inches and miles!
Hey wifey, catch this tyre! Only 200Kgs, you know you can do it. Shame you didn;t put two spares behind the cycle rack with a winch to get them down. Think of a scenario where you are incapacitated and wifey has to change the tyre.
Hi Donald. We had a great ride. The following day we took the bikes to the Highland Falls trailhead and hiked to the falls. We were lucky to have them to ourselves, and when we left the train pulled in to the station, so we even got to see that.
Thanks. Hope you find yours. The good ones are getting harder to find, but they are out there. Hoping to pick up ours next month in Germany, Stay tuned.
Your videos have been super helpful!! I am getting ready to buy a mog and this has been a goldmine. Do you mind sharing, if it is readily accessible, an estimate of what you spent on the different components? I am trying to do a budget. Thanks!
@@NOFOMOUNIMOG i have a 2002 f250,built in brazil,with a german g/box,zf,& mwm engine,4.2tdi. it has no glow plugs,no computer,but puts out 700nm. & 220 hp..& gets 12.5 lt 100.. in a 4.6 t truck. with bigger injectors,ect. i have no idea what it would have. mwm,after 2007,had a 4.2 common rail engine. a 5.9 cummins puts out over 300 hp..
Hi Leon, The deadbolt came from Hellgeth as well. It looks like a standard lock/bolt for a front door used in Germany. Boxmanufaktur put in the same lock as in the other doors, so I only need one key for all’s doors/flaps. Dirk
Hi. So this machine consumes (1000 KM / 410 L) about 1 liter per 2.5 km? Pffttt.. I was thinking (probably more hoping) it would do at least 5 km per liter. What are the main advantages (besides its beauty) VS a MAN TGM exploration vehicle. I'm aware it is a more off-road beast, but besides that?
I have not observed/calculated diesel consumption myself, by I read 20 liters per 100km should be normal. In the sand dunes, machines like that can use up to 40 liters per 100... On you Q Unimog vs TGM, the answer is always: it depends on your needs and preferences. There are many good vehicles and and answers out there. For me, my requirements were: 25 years old due to US import laws No electronics Ability to consume different quality levels of diesel Small/medium footprint The fact that the Unimog is military grade and is a legend didn’t hurt either... 😁
Hi Murat, The compressor is driven by a belt from the engine and the condenser and blower motor are mounted underneath the dashboard. The A/C was designed and installed by Hellgeth, like all the modifications shown in the walk around video. Hope that helps. Dirk
Hi Emil, I bought the Unimog at the auction site of the German customs. You can find the link here: www.zoll-auktion.de/auktion/index.php The chassis mods were made by Hellgeth in Germany, a reknown Unimog specialist. I hope that helps. Dirk
