Hier vergleiche ich den Picogrill 85 mit der Bushbox. Es wird das gleiche Holz verwendet. Nur die für die Bushbox verwendeten Scheite sind etwas kürzer. Als Anzünder verwende ich den Trockenbrennstoff Trioxane.
Cooler Vergleich.....was mich zum Pico interessieren würde wie er sich im Betrieb mit einen Trangia schlägt. Das Bodenblech ist ja ziemlich weit unten, hätte Angst das die Flamme vom Trangia auf den Weg zu einen Topf "verhungert" Kannst du was dazu sagen ?
Der Pico85 ist in der Verbindung mit dem Trangia eher schlecht meiner Meinung nach, es gibt aber ganz leichte Modifikationen die einen sehr guten Betrieb gewährleisten (zusätzliche Löcher + Radspeichen, ähnlich wie beim Pico 238, ich bin sicher das werden die beim 85er irgendwann optimieren), ansonsten hab ich da so nen kleinen Trick um dennoch den Pico85 gut verwenden zu können , nicht optimal aber immerhin ohne Modifikationen. Einfach das mitgelieferte Draht durch die großen Löcher legen darunter den Trangia und oben drauf den Tatonka Mug. Aber auch da ist der Abstand nicht optimal. Ich glaub ich hatte dazu mal nen kleinen Quicki gedreht.
The key to using the Trangia with the Picogrill is to use wood or a rock to boost its height to the 2cm stand-off height. Even a bed of leaves to cover the bottom vent holes with dirt on top of them as a bed to raise the Trangia. You’ll figure it out. It works just fine.
@@rrcaniglia This 2cm/one inch rule for the Trangia is mostly folklore, as I've used a Trangia at the bottom of a Bushbox XL and it performs perfectly fine, even when 10-12cm from the bottom of my frying pan... In fact, without proper sideways and lower ventilation, a Trangia will suffer from thermal runaway and the flame will become large and uncontrollable... The only drawback in having the Trangia more than 5cm from the bottom of your cooking vessel is that most forms of fuel spirits will cause black sooting of the bottom of the pot/pan, whereas this doesn't happen at the 'ideal' height of 2-3cm....
