Annual trip to the Picos de Europa, with a few days spent down in Santo Domingo de Silos, where the final scenes from The good, the bad and the ugly were filmed
Great vid! I will be visiting Sad Hill as I make my way from Soria to Potes. I will be out there end of June this year but will be visiting on a Sunday and expect it to be a bit busier than you guys found. Plan to make my way to the cemetery from the north approach as I have read the gravel path is not so bad.
Thanks Tony, yes if you approach from the north it is a bit easier, Santo Domingo town is worth a visit mind, it’s got a lovely Monastery and some nice little bars, there’s a couple of places there to purchase sad hill memorabila too, enjoy the trip!!
Thanks!! Our friends hadn’t been before, I think it will be on the cards for them next year!! They were overwhelmed at the beauty and the amazing roads!
@@TwoFourCharlie007 Yep, our first trip in 2019 convinced us we needed to go back. Booked with friends to go last year and this year but finally rolled to next. The run from Potes to Riano is special. We did the cable car at Feunte de on a perfect clear day, just amazing
Hey Thanks for watching Bryan, I try my best as an amateur, I like to share our experiences for those who haven’t been before and give a bit of an insight to the places, Cheers😎👍
@@TwoFourCharlie007 Nah, it's arseole or assole... American style. Either way, no motorcycles should be taken down there and I'm sure I'm not alone with that statement.
Hey Adam, we normally do the Picos end of sept beginning of October, so far over the last 3 years we’ve had it good at that time, reason we pick then is we normally do a big tour such as I’m on now down to Montenegro….had one day of rain last year but we’d agreed to have a day off the bikes anyhow…if i can be of anymore help with places to visit then just ask….Thanks for watching
A Mecca for bikers, great roads, stunning scenery, great restaurants, great beer!! Thanks for watching Mark🤠hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!!
@@TwoFourCharlie007 will make a change from the Alps. One of the guys in the video looks like chap with a 1200 GSA I met recently, who lives just up the road from me. You're not by any chance from N Wales?
