i absolutely hate that picture because Costco as a company DOES ACTUALLY aim to do recycling. this is coming from a previous employee of 3 years who had to do maintenance and my store was soooo on us about making sure the trash cans had separate bags for recycling and paper and trash. and at the end of our shifts we would separate the recycling by plastic, wood, metal etc because costco gets money back from it. this picture is just laziness on the employees part tbh. not boot licking costco but they do actually try to do the right thing but sometimes you get employees like this and i’ve seen it in my own eyes by coworkers just tryna get it done

Landfill is only a tiny impact on climate conditions. The real culprits are the fossil fuel industry and factory farming. Recycling is one of those things we do to feel good but it has next to no impact. Real change has to come from swapping our entire power to renewable resources.

@@AIHumanEquality Recycling isn't meant to address climate change, it's meant to prevent waste from getting into the oceans and harming wildlife. Granted, plastic recycling is still a massive scam, but still.
