You shouldn’t butt those pic frame corners together. There needs to be a gap for expansion. Min gap 1/8” and may need to change if you are doing this project during cold temps…1/8th is good…and if doing during hot temps go to 3/16”. I just finish a deck project and watched the gaps expand and contract throughout the day.
