On the one hand, it is fascinating to look into someone's home. On the other hand, it is sad because all our lives we accumulate things that later deteriorate.....hmmm
@@justynajarmoluk6979 But you ' ll deteriorate too. It' s not only about what Salomon said. He was wise. But it' s about lifetime and the rules of time . Nobody , nothing scapes from time.
Leslie, I absolutely love your BrosOfDecay videos! Your respect for homes and personal artifacts as well as sensitivity in exploring their history makes viewing even more special! Thank you for inviting us in!
I think the little chair with the drawer is an old fashioned telephone table. And the drawer was to keep the telephone book with all the numbers in xxx
I would like it if you could come to United States and see what you can find. Our new president is getting very picky who comes in. Because of covid-19.I would not want you to get sick 😷🤢
In America you don’t pay your electric bill it gets shut off instantly. They suck. Even if you had an iron lung they would come to your house and shut it down.
@@1028dianemarie nope. I just had surgery and they came to my house in 98° weather and shut off my electric they said there’s nothing they can do so I went back in the house in my bed and laid there in sweat for a week till I could get the money to pay them don’t tell me it’s not true. I lived it
I think it's one of two things with people leaving a house full of possessions. Either the family left just doesn't care or the person left behind cares too much. It may hurt too much to bare going back. Possibly they could be like me and have no family left alive.
I love the interior of this house. It has a very homey feel to it. Absolutely love that first cabinet! It's so beautiful. Such a shame it was abandoned.
Just magical in the early morning mist, painting the spider webs with it's frost, I believe this was two properties in one, a much older construction from maybe the grandparents & possibly older times, looking at those roof timbers. both parts are still lovely to see with the artifacts left in place. Thank you so much for sharing it.
He was a brilliant craftsman if he did the interior of this home, and they had very good taste...with the exception of those clowns. The things you call wavers are fans, and people used them to keep cool. The wicker chair is Eastern in design, perhaps from Siam, and is called a peacock chair. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful home with us.🖤🇨🇦
Hi Lesley, Bros of Decay, this was once more a beautiful explore in this abandoned mansion. I also wonder, what might have happened there! - It's really so sad to see all these beloved belongings there in the rooms being just left to rot away. - Some rooms were really very beautiful, especially the living room with the very decorative chandelier and all these souvenirs and very different artefacts from countries all around the world. I presume, that these former inhabitants certainly also loved travelling. - Thank you, dear friend Lesley, for taking us viewers again once more on such an amazing tour through this fascinating mansion with a legit time capsule vibe! - I love your videos, and it was a great pleasure watching this explore. - I am already looking forward to your next explore adventure. Lots of greetings also to your adorable brother Jordy! Much love, peace and lots of blessings. - Stay safe, and kindest regards from sunny but quite cold Switzerland.
It' s an interesting place. Years ago it was the cozy home of a living human being. I love that beautifull cabinet, as much as you do. The wood is fine and it looks great. The man who made it is an artist.
The Chinese fan is cool I also have two of them very beautiful love the kitchen and living room and dining room.all the beautiful wood work in the living room and the chandelier s.👍❤️❤️🇺🇸
This has to be one of my favourite houses you have filmed, that peacock chair is just so beautiful, it looks like the one Morticia Addams sat on From that old tv series “The Addams Family” I saw reruns of that show once and I remembered this chair. I would love to have one just like it in my home. Thanks Leslie and Jordy, for showing us yet another abandoned masterpiece. Love always!
I like the way that you get all the information on these. Places so you have more insight on who live there and what happened to them you always find out a lot of information I like that
I have started watching this recently. Now understand the effort behind such a work and journey… God bless and take care. Wonder can anyone abandon such a beautiful house , and a still smiling kitchen! Heartbreaking
It looks modern upstairs ,lots of books ,wonderful to see these ,I wonder why all the home has been trashed .the pink room is complete ,with all her toys adorable,if walls could talk .please don’t take chances ,walking on unsafe floors ,much lv Ann uk xx
What is the strange noises we are hearing it's weird that place must be so lovely when it was lived in some really beautiful wood furniture and liked the kitchen thanks for taking us alone with you stay safe and dress warm coz looks freezing love from uk xxxx
Omgosh, absolutely Beautiful ! So very sad watching this. Such beautiful things left behind. Makes my heart sad. Thank you for weathering the cold to show us !!!!
Thank you Lesley - another great explore video! The arches are quite impressive and original! A lot of vases and plates even paintings could have been donated. So sad they seat there deteriorating 😳 it does surprise me the amount of junk on the floor ... some people just ravage through things without respect. Btw glad you’re wearing gloves 🥰
He always calls them gran pianos! I wonder if its the language difference??? They speak really good English but some of the things we say are diffrent!
I am an 'old' person and I just love the way the world has become so much smaller due to internet- people exploring the world in all different ways, and sharing what they see. I see the young people breaking down the borders between countries, showing that it's not just about politics or religion, that people everywhere just want to live peacefully in harmony with each other. It's hard to explain, but I've seen so much hate in my life, and to see young people coming together, regardless of borders, just makes me so happy. Every culture has something to share with the world. Bless you all :)
Aaaah wow, what a wonderful and deep comment! I could agree to every word you wrote down. - Your reflections are so very true. Lots of blessings and kindest regards.
I agree, I know this episode is old but I just found my channel not long ago, I'm 68 years old and I seen a lot of ugly in my lifetime also, peace and love!
finally we will leave this world with all that we have made, very sad when neglected, it's better that the items that are still worth using can be donated
Great house with alot of unique features! Love all the brick and wallpaper in living area. Looks like in the child's room where the shelves are in the wall, looks like that panel slid closed.
What a lovely home. The kitchen was beautifully designed and so functional. The various cabinets were all phenomenal! What a talented man the owner must have been. The large wicker chair is a Peacock chair. The design originated in the Philippines.
Another awesome adventure!!! A nice touch taking us along on your early morning ride to your explore destination with coffee in hand. A truly amazing mansion and story!!!
The hand hewn rafters in the attic look medieval to me. The house looks like it started as a barn and the owner expanded it with his own craftsmanship.
I love watching house shows, and I am obsessed with anything solid woods. I am glad I found this videos. Thank you Leslie for all the tours you did showing those beautiful houses,.
Amazing!!! I loved this place!!! Beautiful architecture! The man was sooo very talented!!! His skills in masonry were epic! The brick work was awesome!!! Sad that the wooden furniture isn’t saved!!! Sad that vandals have been here prior 😔 They had a wonderful life! Loved the fireplace! Thank you for sharing this wonderful, gorgeous property...I loved it ❤️
Great place you showed us once again. Those "cushions" on the floor in the living room are called Poufs (in Dutch Poef) They are from Morocco. Love your videos keep them coming
First I have to say you do an amazing job narrating these videos. Your compassion for these people's homes really shows. You my friend are a storyteller and a gem. Love you. Could listen to you forever. Now I was thinking I love the arches and that adorable kitchen gives me Spanish feel mixed with Italian. You showed the Spanish fan so maybe? CARVING on the cabinet was awesome. Liked the livingroom area stunning. These people had nice taste. And the little girls room with the stuffies and sweet feminine belongings was just to much like I want her to have her treasures. Makes me sad to what happened. So much work and life went into this home. Sad just sitting there empty. Blessings for you. Stay Safe. You are a good soul with such a relaxing sincere spirit. ❣To you from Maryland USA. Oh and that little seating area with table is what was known as a sitting area with phone table. Ladies liked to sit there and lounge a bit talking with friends over old school phones that rested on the table area. 🍷🍾For you great job.
I am watching you from Thailand, I try to keep up with it whenever I have time. Feel so deep in a long time ago Like traveling back in time, very fun I will cheer you up and will be watching the next clip.
So many beautiful antiques. If the man was that clever, maybe he had made some of the furniture himself. It kind of reminds me of my great-grandfather. My mother told me that he was also very smart and skilful and did a lot himself. The chandelier in the living room is so gorgeous.
Beautiful Lesley...I love your videos..One of your videos was the first one I had ever seen...I just Love you and Jordy../He is a wonderful camera man...Appreciate all the time and effort you put in to your videos..This is Gayle from USA..talked to you and Maureno...when you worked together once...keep up the good work ....please stay safe my friend...
9:47 Amour is extraordinary, it looks hand carved, perhaps owner, the carpenter, also built alot of the furniture include kitchen cabinets. 14:28 ideal breakfast nook the brick arch is unique 18:58 Whoua! I have near identical wooden ( office) desk 20:38 Wallpaper is gorgeous. It looks Victorian. 29:11 You forgot to inspect Chandler 😟 Its beautiful! 38:08 diamond shape window is different ( to bad tiny homes on wheels loft not this size, include fabulous diamond shape window frame 🥰) By the looks of the outside, one would not expect to find a time capsule within. I see all that wood furniture. Its dusty, when you were walking around inspecting, I was thinking " I dusting with lemon oil" I have a thing for nurture antiques. I'm a weirdo Awesome tour, as usual, thought provoking narration
@@JB-js4xi yes I did nt like it ,it was horrible, maybe it was just something going wrong with the sound in the recording but it definitely sounded like he had a spirit box on and voices were coming through, quite disturbing and hard to enjoy the video
So odd, from the clothing and products are not so outdated as the amount of decay of the house.. fun, but sad to wonder always why things are just left behind.
Absolutely wonderful I loved every minute of this video !! You do wonderful work the care you show for people's belongings and the homes is AMAZING !! Thank you again for such a wonderful experience of a exploration !!👍
It’s what you call a “peacock chair” it’s from the 70’s they were very much in Vogue. Damn uncomfortable but so pretty. You guys should really be saving some of this gorgeous furniture before it’s too late, the carving was unreal on that cabinet.
U know I often wonder when looking at these abandoned homes u take us thru........if any of the children/family happen to come upon these videos themselves & what must go through their minds 🤔
Hello from the Northeast. It is very cold here too. Tonight it is -12c. I feel so upset about the daughter just walking away from everything. It’s so sad. That chair that looks like a tiny chaise with the table is a telephone table. Thank you so much for showing us this wonderful home.
In Portugal Ive learn that some people will burgled other houses even if you locked it and you have to hired a gardener and care taker if you leave the property behind... this one is very interesting. Thank you Lesley for sharing them to Us.. careful.
I like your intro and music selection. It really brought the story together. Yes it sadden me to see so memories go to waste. Donate people. Set it up in your will. That's my intent. Happy trails.
I love going on adventures with you. Even the car journey in these videos is good. Love when u say the year in English, you say the whole thing , with the hundred. We don’t say nineteen hundred and 50 in English. Just nineteen fifty. But it sounds so so much older wen you say the whole thing. And note, u speak excellent English. Very good.
He could read books in English...Great find...Very telling...If I were the daughter, I would let the children know about this place, get them all together and go clean up and repair it back up...It's absolutely GORGEOUS...Thanks for the tour and God bless...🙏😘❤🌹
there is alot of mental health issues going on in that house ..it seams very sad ..some one that can not deal with items and so the house and all the contents just sits ..
What a beautiful large kitchen too bad it's being torn down but it would take lots of money to put it in good condition the owner knew what he was doing, Thanks for showing us the property
Someone came in and took alot ! There is nothing in the cabinets like wine glasses etc. So maybe it was the daughter that can in to get all the things of value for her.
