This was a summer school project done by 2nd graders. The project started as a study of silent film music. We then initially were going to do a live, short summer school performance using signs for the subtitles. Once the kids learned their parts, the asked if they could make a real movie. How could I say no to that??? The rest is History!! The kids put a lot of hard work into the details of this film. They decided who would play what role, how their costumes should be designed, camera angles and made and collected their own props.
The stage play was written by Rozie Curtis from Theater Under the Stars, who has been a key supporter of music and theater at Ridgecrest Elementary for the last few years.
