📌 Ingredients for 8 servings - 26 cm tray
400 g thin pie sheets (1 package)
50g melted and cooled butter (82% fat)
500 ml milk with 3.5% fat
4 eggs
80 g caster sugar
20 g vanillin sugar (2 sachets)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (or essence)
a pinch of salt
150 g berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, - fresh or frozen)
a little butter or oil for greasing the pan
optional - powdered sugar for serving

🔪 Preparation
Brush 3 sheets of pie with melted butter and place them in the lightly oiled pan. They will form the base of the pie.
Then brush the remaining sheets with melted butter (one by one) and crease them like a fan. Place them in a straight or circular tray, depending on the shape of the tray.
Put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for ~10-12 minutes or until the sheets are dry and brown, becoming slightly crispy.
Meanwhile prepare the filling. Put the eggs, sugar, salt and flavors in a bowl. Stir with a whisk to dissolve the sugar and slightly foam the eggs, then pour in the milk.
Remove the pan from the oven and pour the milk evenly, making sure it gets between the crumpled pie sheets.
Sprinkle berries from place to place.
Put the pan back in the oven for another 25-30 minutes, until the composition is well set.
The pie is nice and warm with a scoop of ice cream on top, but also cold. Optionally, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar before serving.
