@kamalali2413 I liked the first book when I read it as a teen. I reread it along with the whole series when the 6th book released. It sets up the world, the stakes, and some juicy lore and some loveable and destable characters. I reccomend the read, I think every book is better than the last.
I'm looking forward to getting into Red Rising, myself. I hear it gets much, much darker as it goes on. Especially with the books after the first trilogy.
@@2ToRamblei am really curious on how you will feel after reading more books in yhe series because in my opinion is an almost steady climb that doesn't stop. I'm so excited for the conclusion
I'm an author in the process of being published with a big 4 publisher; Red Rising is by far my favourite series. Pierce changed the game for me. And honestly, halfway through book one, I almost put it down. Boy, am I glad I pushed through.
I’m an aspiring fantasy author, and my goal is to publish a book and have it get reviewed on this channel! You guys have such great insight, and all of your book recommendations are solid!
To be fair, a lot of the world building isn’t that present in the first book. The first one is basically a very good version of your standard YA world building mixed with Lord of the Flies.
Love Red Rising, and I can't get others interested?! It's crazy....wanted to see this turned into a streaming show I also have loved any Brandon Sanderson books I 've read too
I'm more than halfway done with Morning Star! Such a great series. Wasn't a huge fan of Red Rising, and because of that, it took me forever to start book 2. But my goodness!!! When I finished Golden Son, I immediately started Morning Star! I usually read a Discworld book in between series. But not this one. It is so damn good.
The first feels like it was wrote to be a percy jackson/hunger games knock off. After book 1 the series becomes more sure of itself as an epic operatic science fiction series.
I’m trepidatious to start the series because the plot of Red Rising sounds a lot like the Hunger Games, could I skip the first one or is it really worth sticking through?
The only series that I've re read three or more times has been ...well the Cosmere as a whole, Witcher, and RED RISING!!! Whenever I'm in a slump I just start Red Rising again and love it more each time.
Stormlight has gotten worse with each book. Sanderson is a very corny writer I don’t get the love. Love Red Rising tho. The first book was the worst tho. Lol
Book 1 loved it Because i love anything battle royale related Book 2 was a amazing and i see why many consider it to be the best Book 3 was a good conclusion Book 4 Awful terrible pure garbage Book 5 Over bloated. Pierce became a dictionary and a very romantic worter with his pros and metaphores. There were things i enjoyed like virginia in the politics and darrow ( because we all love darrow) but god the clone bs was pure trash and garbage and who ever kills lysander will be the best characther in world Just started book 6 It is better then book 4 and 5 in my honest opinion Brown should have just stopped after book 3
Well I hate to dash your hopes but Red RIsing is good for first trilogy but after that it just feels like it goes down in quality. Story gets less interesting
Oh dude… You don't even know what you're in for. Red Rising derivative (Hunger Games clone) garbage compared to the rest of the books in the series. You're really in for a treat as you keep reading. Imo I think Morning Star, book 2, is my favorite of the series. I'm listening to the last few hours of Light Bringer right now and it's incredible!! Also, if you like Red Rising, it's literally required reading that you pick up Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio ASAP. It's the first book in the Sun Eater series which follows Hadrian Marlowe-a hero to some, a villain to others. The man who singlehandedly won the war with the alien CielCin by burning every last one of them out of the sky when he extinguished a sun, killing all the CielCin and instantly snuffing out the lives of 4.5 billion humans at the same time. Also have you not read Malazan Book of the Fallen? It's literally the best epic fantasy series out there. Blows Stormlight and every other epic fantasy series out of the water.
@@Grande79 Hope you enjoy. RR is kinda derivative. It's doing a battle Royale basically but it's still quite good. But book 2 onward are incredible. You also need to check out The Suneater Saga by Christopher Ruocchio. Easiest way to describe it is The Name of Dune Rising
@@BooksRebound T ok clarify I have read RR, I’m half way through Lightbringer right now. Malazan has been on my radar for a while and your comment kind of put me over the top to pick it up. Sun eater I have never heard of until now.
The first book felt like hunger games for sure..but it gets better and is my favorite series of all time. If you get through the trilogy or even the first half of the second book you'll start to realize it is actually special
Young people having their minds blown doesn't sell a book to me. You're young, it really doesn't take much to blow your developing mind. This book is nothing special
You look 10 boy. You haven’t been around the sun nearly as long as me. You lived in a world without tyrants in your ivory tower. I’ve taken dumps older than you with more personality. I have serious bowel issues though. Hold your buddy’s hand crossing the sidewalk before you come for me.
Have u even read the book series. The first book gives you expectations on what to expect on the series. The 2nd book delivers that. The third expands on it
@@randomonlineuser6401I don't agree on the third book though. The third book was not good, and the series as a whole has issues. If wasn't for pierce writing iron gold and dark age I don't think the series would be this popular
