I always liked the Necromancer's fight because he doesn't use any dirty tricks like extra phases or lava pits or giant projectiles. He just summons some enemies, then fights you using abilities that mirror the ones you have (magic and sword techniques). Just makes it so much more fun to fight someone you are on equal standing with.
Thrak The Carrier Of The Moonlight its like a gauntlet but keep in mind he is extremely easy once you can actually fight him since blue night freezes him
@Siper You die in like 1/4 hits on insane mode, counting that if he touch you on final phase you have high probability to die without even have time to take a potion
one of the few bosses that industrialist and femcer cant kill with ease... and a TON of little enemies to kill before you even fight him... hard but fun
In truth, The Evil Wizard was a bit overrated. The Necromancer was a way more difficult boss because he forces to you to fight all the people you've killed. That and he himself fights you with badass necromancy.
+Jacob Goldsberry Personally, I think that the Evil Wizard would have been much better if he had less forms with more hp. It just felt like they were trying to tell you that "Oh, he's dead THIS time!" 6 health-bars in a row.
+Emmett Boer Bohan Seriously, if you passed the game once, you know how to beat Wizard without potions next time. Necromancer (or should I said his "minions") are way harder to kill than all 6 froms of Wizard. Crystals are easy to kill (you can attack them all at once, so they're "dead" after 2-3 attacks), Wizard - magic/melee, and he is using only 2 skills you can dodge easly, Balloon - no comment here, #juglingcombo , Spider - it COULD be the hardest part, but hey, we have sandwiches. Use sandwich and make juggling combo, so he can't even touch you, Balloon Form 2 - .... Demon Sword Part - I think they added this part just because of the sword. He needed a sword that players can got. Just don't let meteors hit you and you can end it easly. For me Necromancer (I mean his minions) are on my 1st place of the hardest bosses in the Castle Crashers. 2nd is Frost King (annoying teleportation and ice!) and 3rd... I think it's Groom Conehead.
+SugarlessComb not if you happen to be red knight with maxed out magic and you happen to know what you're doing, it is really simple. Except for the normal enemies in the hall when trying to get to the bosses!
The Virgin Evil Wizard: -Most generic villain in the history of forever -Mediocre Theme -Too many phases -Fakeout Death -Needed to hire a painter for his team The Chad Necromancer -Badass Theme -Quick but difficult fight -Cool ass Design -Only 2 Phases -Can be a villain on his own
In my opinion this is the most unique fight this game has, the tension and nerves that I felt the first time I entered the room, listened to the music, and saw how the Necromancer revived all the enemies I faced was totally incredible. To then face him and see that he fights in the same way that you do. This was the most interesting and iconic fight I had while playing Castle Crashers.
i LOVE this theme, I don't know who the Necromancer really is, but all I know is that he's got an amazing theme song and that just makes it awesome. Awesome stuff :]
To be fair, when i played and got to him, he was being a jerk with his damn shield blocks X'D Thankfully two can play that game. PS: He should've been the final boss. i mean, doesn't he/she/it have a purely unique track? ... Nevermind maybe the Wizard does and i am a derp. Still not as kickass.
It carries the whole boss theme feel so freakin well. everything screams tension and demands full focus from you and your opponent. It really drives home the "knock me down, here i come again" feel
Santenoturtle Killing the bastard himself was a breeze, just, Behemoth did him justice by music but not personal battle. The enemies before him were harder than this mofo but it still felt like I was kicking the hell out of a fallen knight as a hero. This needs a movie
The Necromancer is more of a Survival Gauntlet then a boss fight. At high enough defense he does a total of 19 damage with his sword, and only 20ish with his magic. My guess is he wanted you to survive the onslaught of enemies So you could kill him. But hey, I ain’t complaining. I get to take his badass sword.
SCP 173 Playing insane mode reactions. Pipistrello: Normal: Meh, not to bad. Insane: How much can this frikin bat take?. Nice reward though Industrial Castle: Normal: This... HAS TO BE ONE OF THE HARDEST LEVELS IN THE GAME!!. Insane: FUCK THIS SHIT!!!!!! (Beats by accident) FUCK YEAH (realises I can play as Necromancer) HELL YES!!!!! Necromancer: Normal: Geez that guy was tough as balls: Insane: I'm fucked already
The horned gray necromancer, summoner of the dead. His eyes glow with the redness of a blood moon. He is a knight who has spent his whole life learning magic, both arcane and new, and has trained extensively in combat. This has made him not only a threat in his abilities to bring back the dead to fight for him, but has also earned him the reputation of being a fierce warrior of unparalleled skill. With the help of the evil wizard, he has truly become a nigh unstoppable force which the world has never seen before. Few now have faced him and survived the battle. Perhaps the four approaching warriors will now stand a chance? It is possible, but they will have to commit all their training to defeat this powerful foe.
Sans: "i'm the hardest boss to kill!" Wither in bedrock edition: "No i am!" Insane Mode necromancer: "Amateurs" Sans: "What was that punk?" Insane mode necromancer: "AMATEURS"
On insane mode bosses deal 10× more damage (Basically one shots u) Also the minions that necromancer summuns also count as a boss attack Which means ....... Even with Maxed out everything u get killed by getting hit 2 Once passes the first phase Second phase easy sword and shiled combat
@@denizseyhan1053I like to think he barely survived this encounter. That way he can self-revive in a future sequel as a second phase. Like the false "knockout" in Cuphead?
Honestly, while playing on insane mode, the second wave of enemies was *WAY* more of a challenge than the Necromancer himself was. (and this song Is also still a banger to this day)
+Daniel “derpy” Diamondminer I was 16 years old when I made it. I made it in January 2008, and when they asked me in April of that year when I got a song in the Top 5 audio of the week (thing on NG at the time) for the first time, I was psyched. Tom Fulp browsed my music and sent me an email and emailed me a contract. I was excited, but my parents had to sign. To this day though, I wish I had put "Real Faction" instead of "Piercing Lazer". It was a side project, buuut it IS coming back very soon, so I'm going back to that sound :)
Thanks! Though the soundtrack turns 11 this year as well as this song, 2012 is just when I uploaded it to youtube, 2008 to Newgrounds originally. Thanks!
Remastered Version of the vocal mix by someone else; 3 months old at time of writing this. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ui2oabVpUFc.html
I am surprised this boss has the most intense horrifying soundtrack in human history whereas the Evil Wizard has the most non horrific theme and is also less deadly than the dude who summons literal people you've killed just shows that the Necromancer didn't need the Wizard to win he could've collected as many dead knights, brutes, and bosses and used them to kill the Castle Crashers.
I finally got the chance to play Castle Crashers recently, and hearing this while fighting one of the most coolest looking bosses in the game made me pause and just listen to the music alone. This is just a masterpiece, and you did a truly fantastic job.
I like to think that all the bodies AREN’T the bodies of the enemies you’ve slain, and that it’s actually the bodies of other players that died whilst fighting him. Thus why there are gray knights.
Sans from Undertale: I am the most HARDEST boss in gaming history! Necromancer from Castle Crashers: Hold my beer. Lubu from Wo Long Fallen Dynasty: H̶̝̍̋o̶͍̭̼̗̽l̸̳̥͗͊̈́͑̋d̴̡̞̪̋̔͛̿͜͜ ̴̯̦̤̞̋m̶̢͗͊ỷ̸̧͕̒͛͒ ̶̲́̊̌͜ç̷̳̆u̴̪̤̇͌̏̍͜p̸̝̀ ̷̡̲͕̐͂ỏ̶̥̭͠f̵͉̟̥̘͉̊͂̓̎̄ ̵̦̯͙̻̎̓̓͊͜b̸̨̨͔̱̭̋̒̿̚l̶̨̠̳̈́̈́̑̂o̶͈̝̼͐͝o̴̧͉̮̯͂͛̽̕d̴̹͔̲̓͛̽͒͜.
This gives me Galacta Knight vibes and that’s cool, I’m here from the recent video just because as cool as your songs are my man, this one has a special place in many peoples hearts
Thank you! I understand if my new stuff isn't people's style, but thank you for at least giving it a chance. I'm glad this has a special place in everyone's life, but I'm wanting to make new songs for people to remember.
-well, these 2 was ez -oh its the guy who revived skeletons -WTH WHY ARE THEY SO FAST -Okay, guess i need health -oh there is anothee wave -3 BUFFS?!! -*intense sweating and death* -oh great, now we fight him -*magic spam* -oooo nice sword
Necromancer is the only boss I didn't spammed magic to easily destroy it, it was a fair battle because of the huge respect I have for it as a boss, mixing magic and melee in the battle was a great addition
How yo beat necromancer: Step 1.walk up to him Step 2. Oh shoot he spawned the enemies I killed! Step 3. Beat all the enemies Step 4. He spawned more… Step 5. Rage because of this part Step 6. The necromancer finishes you off after you beaten that part…. Step 7. Come back and get your attacks blocked Step 8. SPAM MAGIC! Step 9. Experience joy since you dont have to experience pain anymore Step 10. Congrats! You beat the necromancer Bonus steps: Step 11. return and realize that alien homid appears in the fight and has a health bar…….. Step 12. Come back to listen to the music while getting erased from existence Step 13. *TRY TO BEAT NECROMANCER ON INSANE MODE*
BEST BOSS FIGHT HANDS DOWN. Aside from all the minion spam, fighting the actual necromancer feels so intense, guttural and fierce. No tricks, just sword to sword combat.
Step 1: beat game as blue guy (unlock industrialist) Step 2: beat game with industrialist Step 3: beat industrial factory as industrialist (because it’s easy as him) Unlocked the necromancer character
I don't agree. Castle Crashers had a great ending, it doesn't deserve a sequel, and also, I don' really think the behemoth makes any sequels. The opinion isn't THAT bad, but I just like castle crashers how it is.
It's like Halloween and Friday the 13th (part 2 I mean, part 1 sucked) it doesn't need a sequel (even tho they got one),castle crashes can be remastered but if a sequel happens no one will like it,I guarantee you
It's been too long, I'm going to play this game again after 7 years of not playing it just to fight the Necromancer and listen to his badass theme which is fire 🔥
Actually its dark meta knight please don't hate me for being specific although at the time of me leaving this comment I just finished watching the dark meta knight boss fight from Kirby and the amazing mirror
This boss fight was my favorite because not just how he mirrors your moves, but the satisfaction of fighting every enemy you faced from start to finish in one area is just unbelievable and I just think it is really amazing for players to experience this boss fight.
Ok so the first time I tried Castle Crashers, i hated it. I thought it was just another "button mashing" game. One day im on youtube and i see this in my recommended. i hear this and no joke it motivated me to retry the game. Im now a severe addict attempting insane mode. God bless and good work!
Nercromancer: -Insanely good theme -That armor looks amazing -Really difficult boss -actually fun to play -not boring Evil Wizard: -Idk he has a wand I guess
Almost final and since you will be fighting Evil Wizard straight away after Necromancer - it's good enough. Both Evil Wizard and Necromancer are 2 final battles in the game any ways. It's like destroying Sith and his apprentice in final level. Both required to be defeated for the victory
I remember when I fought the boss I was playing with my friend who was around level 11 during the necromancer fight because he didn’t play much, I just remember him dying soon after fighting the summons and I had to solo the fight. The boss theme just made the fight 10x better, and at the end of the fight I was really sweaty
Honestly, the necromancer was the only boss fight I really liked in the entire game, and for two good reasons: The fight itself isn't too hard and really feels like a face-off between two veterans of fight I get to listen to this
