Pierre Cardin | Fall Winter 2024/2025 by Rodrigo Basilicati | Full Fashion Show in High Definition. (Widescreen - Exclusive Video - PFW/Paris Fashion Week) #Pierrecardin #FW24 #PFW
I feel like I have been transported back to Pierre Cardin in the 1960s. I lived through that era, so these are happy styles for me. I loved the collection. ❤
It's unfortunate, but the clothes are uninspired, it's neither contemporary nor futuristic. It's like a student design project. It can't survive in the current fashion environment.
A few pieces were reminiscent of a first-year fashion student's efforts and should've been left out. And I wish they'd come up with something new in footwear rather than a very bland generic stiletto which made the collection feel a little bit incomplete. Overall, though, I liked the results; that 60's/futuristic aesthetic feels right for now. There was a lovely coat with big tabs in different shades of green and that final dress with the green 'wings' was just beautiful.
I liked the shape & the clever tailoring, good & bold colours combination/fabrics. However, was like watching a second hand vintage collection. The capacity of translating the PC great avangarde concept of " abstraction/arquitectural/sculptural dresses" was missing & the all collection look outdated & tired. The element of sophistication /exclusivity was missing as well.
