I've been on both sides and never fully understood until I myself became a parent. As I work in Anaesthesia of course doing paeds ( Kids) at least one parent is allowed to accompany their child to the O.R. Before I became a parent my mindset of course is to do my job at my utmost best but the parent on induction of anaesthesia could be an obstacle to me performing my role properly as they often were upset and delayed what to us was urgent care to an anaesthetised patient. They would be quickly escorted out while we would be maintaining a life. Often we would raise our eyebrows and feel relieved the parent has left. Fast forward to me becoming a parent of 2 boys on holiday in Japan with a 3 yr old and 1 yr old. My 3 yr old fell over in a playground and fractured his elbow, I knew straight away by the scream he emitted, anyway sorry to ramble...guess who was the worst parent ever at the hospital blubbering away as my Son was taken out of my arms to have an X ray?? Me! I couldn't control myself. That was a life lesson to me, so after that when I had said scenario as explained earlier I make sure the parent has someone to accompany them and care for them once they leave the O.R. As for your perfume thoughts, I totally agree. Sort of in line with Roudnitsksa's in having a perfume that shocks or causes a reaction. Lovely words, great scents and info. Ram, just an idea, how about down the pipeline a video on modern fragrances that are the counterpart to the vintage discontinued ones? Also, I have to credit the Duck for the suggestion. He said it in one of his live streams.

All credit to your channel’s success to you. There was a need for someone like you on RU-vid and you recognized that. I hope your daughter recovers quickly and fully. Life can be beautiful and ugly. Some of the most compelling perfumes blend both, but I don’t believe that is required. Some can be all sunshine; some all shadows.

Combined with an atlas cedar, it's a near perfect representation of a #2 pencil. 😆 Gawd I love that smell. Terrible shame Tom Ford axed Negrin's Extreme. Probably my favourite of his creations.

I quickly learned from watching RU-vid to trust your own nose and if able sample before and not blind buy an expensive fragrance. So, I bought a 5ml decant of Interlude Man. Oh Yeah, Love it! Shopping for a full bottle. Informative video

RAM, I m totally with you on Amouage. I ve been a huge fan myself. When I got a sample of boundless a female co worker of mine, told me that it smells exactly like a cheapy for women on which other colleagues agreed...and the crap with the altars- no thank you. It s already insane that we pay 300 - 400 € for a product that in production costs less than 15 €... but hey, parfums are luxury products... and in the past, I never regreted buying an amouage because it performed beastly & was a peace of art.

The first fragrance that got me thinking about fragrances not just about smelling good but as a form of personal expression was Black Orchid which was also done by Pierre Negrin and was the first Tom ford fragrance. He knocked it out of the park with interlude which was also his first for Amouage I think. He needs to do a Frederic Malle ASAP.

I wore Interlude 53 to work. A guy I was talking to kept saying, can you smell burning wood? haha. I adore Interlude 53.

It is proven that small imperfections make us attractive:-) by the way got my nose on interlude black iris...I have to admit that on skin it smells amazing

Talking about the vetivers in the opening, for me , after I smelled Private Label and Incident Diplomatique, I don't need another vetiver. I mean what can be more " vetivery" than those? I might want to try Nishane's Sultan Vetiver, that one sounds different and intriguing, but at least Private Label is a beast on its own league

What are your thoughts on TF Black Orchid? Arguably Pierre’s biggest hit.

Stopped by the Amouage counter at Neiman Marcus last weekend and noticed they repackaged the Opus line. They are in the same bottles as the men's line, but all a textured purple and gray color combo. No character like the other Amouage bottles. Not sure what they're doing.

I love Amouage bit I don't like that some they do not likr the longevity. Nothing worsted like a son or daughter are in a risky situation
