Regarding McDonald's brilliant idea of providing free food to Israeli military forces while Israeli military forces have been weaponizing food in Gaza, I must say that capitalism has always been an accomplice to colonialism, and colonialism is always either covertly or overtly backed by the western liberalism. So, Bassem is spot-on when he says the west is morally bankrupt now. The most cherished schools of thought are now revealing their true face; the western liberalism has always bestowed legitimacy and ethical cover on imperialism. But this time, it is evident that the re-westernization is necessary, and reconfiguration of values is imperative for the western dominant power structures.

I had tears in my eye at the end of this interview. RFK Jr needs to meet with Bassam and have the same kind of conversation and he needs to redeem himself if he is to have any chance whatsoever it being president. Pierce Morgan did a fantastic job here he is to be commended for it and I think not only he but we all have a better understanding of the realities of this conflict. One thing is for certain and that is the Palestinian people must be respected and must be freed of their oppression, and I think that is the only way to deal with the humas situation because when you give the Palestinian people the freedom and Liberties they deserve there will no longer be a need to have Hamas commit terrorist attacks as a way to get attention on this horrible problem that has plagued the Palestinian people for decades. I think bassan was trying to make that point to Pierce but I'm not sure if Pierce really absorbed it but he did his best to convey that but most of us who have been following this situation for many years understood that already. When the Palestinian people are free and no longer feel oppressed they would much more likely let Hamas know that their services are no longer needed, and that may sound naive but it's actually true. When the Palestinian people are finally given the respect that they are owed they will be much more likely to respect other nations who treat them with the same respect; that is just the way of nature. You cannot oppress a people for decades and expect them to act civil. If you are playing poker and you find out that the person that keeps winning was cheating what do you think the rest of the players will want to do to that person? The Israeli government has been cheating the Palestinian people for several decades and if this act of terrorism was the only thing to bring Global attention to the plight of the Palestinian people it becomes clear why the Palestinian people went along with this in their eyes. When you are drowning, believe me you won't care who's there to help you... whoever pulls you out of the water will become your best friend. So let's prevent them from continuing to drown and that's just the start to begin the healing process which will take Generations for sure.

The only way to stop the violence is to be serious about peace.

Bassem is an individual explained those complex issues far better than any TV show, news channel or politician I have ever seen or heard before. This is all I needed. Any videos that are pro-Israel and claim to provide facts and information should be taken with a grain of salt. Their sources are often biased and one-sided, and should not be relied on as credible or accurate.

There are a few moments of visible despair in Bassems eyes when he says that there likeliy won't be peace. He knows this from his wife and Palestinian friends. And I know when I look into the mirror or into the eyes of my family. You too will see it if you ever come across a Palestinian, no matter where they live. We carry this yoke with us, always.

I'm in awe of his thought clarity, knowledge, wit and intelligence.
