Nadal was struggling to walk few days before Wimbledon 2022 and then recovered just in time 😂 After that he retired in the semifinal And recovered just in time for Cincinnati 😂
Another AngloSaxon hater who can't stand some Eastern European / Balkan dude being the GOAT over western favorites Rafa and Roger. That is all what has ever been behind the dislike.
@@flazo69 You are mistaken. There is a long history of stereotypes about and against eastern europeans, and especially against Serbs and Russians. They would always feel more sympathy to a fellow Westerner (former colonial power) from Spain. And you just happen to forget about the Swiss, Federer. Elitists if there ever was something like it. More importantly, those old historical biases are so deeply entrenched, so conventional, that most people in the West are not even conscious or aware of their general attitudes. You are an example of this, it is an automatic thing. Not something you are consciously active with or planning. If you know, you know. People from those regions are more than aware why Novak is "disliked" in much of the US and Western Europe. We all deal with the same bullshite. For some reasons, the Chinese, Mexicans, Brazilians, Russians, Poles, and Japanese and Arabs do not dislike Novak to that extent and never show him the whistling and negative remarks. And this discrepancy is perfectly explicable by the historic elements I mentioned before. Anyway, western people never agree with me or never acknowledge these biases against Novak, which is completely logical. No one wants to be called biased or even racist, no matter how much truth there is to it. xD
Love this chemistry and I like the fact that ppl slam piers but he has a decent sense of humour and isn’t afraid to dig at himself and make fun which is something a lot of ppl miss about him he most definitely is actually a pretty cool guy thank u piers loved this video
I never liked Nick, but have so much respect for him these days! It takes a good man to admit to his mistakes and learn from them and overcome hard personal battles then change and evolve into a better person. I wish him the best for his future.❤🇦🇺😊
you shouldn´t, laziest most unpro athlete ever, does not train, diet, etc. properly, and is done at 30, what is he going to be more athletic than alcaraz or sinner now?
Nick's so comfortable in front of the camera. I absolutely loved this interview. I could listen to the two of you discussing anything and everything for hours. I'm already looking forward to the next one!
That was a lovely interview. Piers' best interviews are the ones where he has actual chemistry with the guest and doesn't have to confront him constantly. My only gripe is with the editing on a table tennis game itself. Just too many cuts during a rally and in a lot of them a ball isn't even seen!
Agreed, I think the average person doesn’t understand that mans mindset, he’s a winner, the average person can’t handle that kind of pressure, they couldn’t possibly understand what it’s like to be in his shoes
Djokovic is the only man in tennis history to be the reigning champion of all four majors at once across three different surfaces. In singles, he is the only man to achieve a triple Career Grand Slam, and the only player to complete a Career Golden Masters, a feat he has achieved twice. -Djokovic is the only player to have beaten Nadal in all four majors. -Djokovic and Federer faced each other 50 times, with Djokovic leading the head-to-head record 27-23, including 13-6 in finals. If next time you have any doubts again about who is the best, read this then again.😁
Djokovic leading Federer by 4 matches isn't that great of an achievement considering he's quite a few years younger. If you place prime Federer vs prime Djokovic, maybe Federer has the slight lead. Federer is still king of grass court tennis as well.
@@mycatvelvetAlso, since 2011 (Fed was only 28 that time) till Federer's retirement, Novak won more slams than Fedal combined. Novak is the only player to win at least 3 slams in 4 different calendar years. No other player from the open era has even managed to repeat this thrice.
This may be my very favourite episode I have ever watched because of the ping pong at the end. We all got to see how competitive you are and also what a good sport you ended up being. I appreciate your content always. ❤️🔥
Serious respect for you, Piers. I was a teaching pro and tennis director for years and I'm quite sure I could not have gone to battle with a playing professional like Nick on table tennis like you did. Also, great interview.
Bro i swear I thought exactly this. this is actually the first interview with him I really enjoyed. Still gotta cope... Let's call it the Kyrgios-Effect. He has his way with people. He just makes them comfortable enough to speak and act freely. Makes them laugh. Open up. He only just started with his podcasts and interviews. He's already so mature. Truly scintillating.
Grand slams won: John McEnroe 7 Nick Kyrgios 0 Kyrgios is hilarious. One of the greatest underachievers in sporting history. All mouth and no trousers.
I never liked Kyrgios but watching this interview I’m impressed with him . He has grown up . I didn’t like his behaviour on court cause it wasn’t nice for kids to see it . I believe his turned a corner . Good on you and goodluck Kyrgios .
He is sublime in these interview / 1 on 1 talks. He really birngs something new. You should check his podcast: Good Trouble. He has a really nice talk with Novak. also Tiafoe.
It’s soo hard: - Wake up - strength train - hit for 2 hours - train again - Physio - sleep Meanwhile: - make millions of dollars - travel the world - adulation of fans everywhere - celebrity status There’s dude in Walmart working a 12 hour night shift stacking boxes, who is tired but still goes to the gym, when he feels inured he doesn’t go to the Physio because he can’t afford it, lives on rent, will never own a house and makes 40k/year. Trust me bro he wants to quit as well Life ain’t hard when you have perspective.
Wasted talent. I wouldn’t call him a superstar. I was rooting for him in that Wimbledon final but that’s him now……..he’s peaked and will never reach those heights again. Unfortunately! I like the guy! Good luck to him!
Thanks! He should have stood by his retweet. He shrank like a coward, unfortunately. The real problem is not with woke ideology, it’s people not standing up to it
@elizabethpilarski1076 What do you think is more likely? He came across Andrew Tate for the first time via a "love is obsession" tweet w/o being aware of the other "problematic" things he's said and done or he's doing a Dwayne Johnson/rogan style 180 to appease the mob?
This video is crazy. Only 51k views in 12 hours. And his newiest video released 10 hours ago has over 800k views. And the vids before this are in the millions and mid to high hundreds of thousands. Amazing
I loved this 😊 I am liking this evolving persona of Piers .. never thought I’d like him or listen to anything he says … respecting how he’s reflecting and admitting his wrongs 👏🏻👌🏻
Piers, thanks for your introduction to an unknown local (to me). Your game went better than your arm wrestle. Make sure you wear the hoodie on your next interview.
Haha very interesting how Nick’s disassociating with Andrew Tate now. He said he low key loves him and his brother in 2022. Clearly his PR team has advised him that it’ll compromise his media deals if he continues to support them.
As an Australian and a tennis fan I have loved Nick long before it was fashionable. Great interview. Really hope he’s playing at peak capacity at the US Open. He has an unfulfilled destiny to win a major.
