Bruegel is softening for ragged emotions, and its difficult to say how it is done. The snowy landscape has such a peaceful effect. Thanks for uploading this, appreciated.
Bruegel is the most wise artist-philosopher ever lived. And one of the most versatile - his manner has mind blowing range, from almost a proto-impressionism in Adoration of the Magi in the Snow to the Little Tower of Babel, its miniature technique is able to confuse Jan van Eyck. Brueghel used the legacy of Bosch, that is true - but Bosch being an unique, lonely genius, was ever trapped in his endless nightmare world, while Bruegel has created many worlds, the Hunters in the Snow and the Triumph of Death, the Proverbs and Conversion of Paul are so different from each over it's hard to believe one person has created these masterpieces.
