It was a very windy day. The main flight line of Pigeons was several hundred metres away at the bottom of an uncut field, making it difficult to entice them in. Only a few Jackdaws and Crows were seen.
I had just received my new FUD decoys from Bushwear and was keen to try them out. So we set up two hides, one using mainly the new FUDs, the other with our other types including a rotary and flapper.
It wasn't long before we had some shooting, but with the wind on their tails, the birds were flying like rockets and jinking all over the place.
Two Jackdaws can be seen flying straight into the FUD Crow decoys.
The new decoys worked a treat, providing some testing shots.
